Hi all

We started the process in the middle of feb. and have been to the biometrics appointment. We received a rfe for small thins dealing with the supoort affadavit. Its almost been 30 days since online says they received the evidence. Anyone have an idea about how much longer and till we receive an interview date? We have friends in the area who also got a rfe and they were processed very quickly.

They have 60 days to look at your response to the RFE.

An interview can be 6 months or more away from the day of accepting the petition.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

You applied one and a half months ago. You expect an interview letter by now?

i never said i was demanding the letter now...i was simply asking a question for something that i can not find an answer too.... and like i said, friends in similar cases did have their case finished in 5 months so thats what i am hoping for....if you are going to respond to a forum with unhelpful information please do not respond at all.

It is difficult to say.

I personally have mixed feelings.

On one hand I look up official processing dates and browse posts of AOS approved beneficiaries who had their cases completed late last year and early this year.

It seems like Baltimore, MD office had an average of 4.5-5 months processing time.

If this standard holds true today I should not get IL for another month or so.

But I also look up the latest trends on trackit.com for ALL applicants nationwide (including from those local offices who reported SLOW processing times as late as the end of the last year) and I see that many applicants who filed 2 months ago already have their interviews scheduled (or so they report).

Again, there is no telling how accurate these reports are and what (if any) the statistical reliability of this random data is.

It also depends on how well your petition is prepared (any typo or disorganized assembly of paperwork will naturally cause delays).

Good luck.

I am trying to show you how silly your concern is. An interview letter is usually sent out one month before the interview is scheduled. If your friends finished everything at 5 months, then they got their letters at about the 4 month mark. For your case, it has been 1.5 months so far. If you got a letter now, you'd be finished at 2.5 months, which can happen, but is unusually fast. Your expectations are not lined up with reality.

AOS for my husband

I saw that you are in Dallas.

I had my interview in Dallas too. You might have a look at the timeline in my signature below.

I filed in mid November 2011, didn't get any RFE, got interview letter on Feb 1st, 2012. (Please note that there were a lot of holidays in December, so I think it slow down my case a bit)

I understand how you feel, please be patient. This is a waiting game. :)
