Hi Y'all,

When I first saw my Nigerian Fiance in person, we met in a VISA-FREE Country and only spent nearly a week together. Now, we're 3 months into NOA1 and we want to see each other again before NOA2. How difficult is it to get a tourist VISA to Nigeria? I've already started the application online. Please give me a few tips... Thank you. :)

Sounds like a great idea!

For a more focused response, consider re-posting your inquiry at the sub-Saharan Africa regional forum, rather than here at the K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures forum.

Good luck on your visa journey.

I have not found it to be difficult at all to get a visitor visa to Nigeria. I have traveled there a few times. You have to follow the instructions to fill out the application and pay on line. When you mail in the application with the confirmation of payment, you will also send a copy of your flight itinerary as well as a copy of your bank statement. A letter of invitation from your fiance would also be helpful.

Good luck and have fun in Nigeria.

To get a tourist visa to Nigeria is no wahala, You can come and go as you please. Usually the first will be good for 6 months at no more than 2 months a stay. Be sure to check the multiple entry visit in case you wanted to go more than once in that 6 month stay. It takes all of 30 days and less to get a Visa. 5 days if you expedite. Just need a invitation letter an itinerary and you are set send off your passport and you are about done. It's such the polar opposite of what we have to go through.

I just went to Nigeria in December I used a passport/visa service I didnt need a letter of invitation because we were staying at a hotel but if you are staying with him then you will need the letter. You will need a letter from your bank giving your average bank balance for the past 6 months or bank statement I perfered the letter the bank will know what to write. You will need your flight info and where you are going to stay. Also you will need a passport photo. You have to send them your passport they will bring it to the embassy and get the visa and send it back to you It took me a week to send it to them and get it back I think it cost $150 for everything. I used wpvs.com they are in washington dc. Its easy to get a visa from here to there the issue comes with him getting a visa to come here... Good luck

You can just use the Nigerian Embassy portal and do all your processing. I did it last year and I did not provide a bank statement (No way is that a requirement and shouldn't be done). That's a requirement for a tourist visa to come here. You also do not have to already have your flight booked. I got Visa in January and booked flight in March. They just want to see youritinerary . Your plans where you want to go. I had set out for a 2 month trip and stayed 6 months.

I didn't need nothing from my husband not even his signature on the invitation letter.

Haha, it appears that I wrote here, but left no message....but the website does list a letter from your bank as proof that you must mail in.....I just notarized my last statement and used a black sharpie to black out all information they didn't need to have, lol...And the hotel reservations must be sent unless you have an invitation letter assuming immigration responsibility, with data page from responsible party's passport. At least, thats what the website states.

The bank statement is a requirement, I just did mine and all I included was my latest bank account statement which I had notarized and all vital info blackened out. If you go by the website, it will tell you to include plane and hotel bookings, which I did as well. It took me 2 weeks total to get it without expediting, I sent it overnight both ways. Have fun in Naija!
