Hello my friends,

Im starting the paperwork for my wifes AOS, but have some questions:

1. If I have already filed a G-325-A with the original I-129 petition, do I have to do it again?

2. The same with the I-864

3. When we did our paperwork for the interview we didn't need to translate my wifes birth certificate into English. Is this a must?

4. Can I file the EAD without the SSN? We are still waiting for it.

5. Finally, My wife just recently had her medical before entering the USA, but Immigration took all her paperwork at the POE. What does she need to do?

Thanks for any help you can give us.

1. Yes, you have to redo the G-325... some of the bio info has changed anyways (ie. she has gotten married and is now living somewhere new..)

2. Yes, things may or may not have changed, but they will want it again.. its more up to date that way anyways, and they dont always have everything there right away anyways..

3. Yes, all documents should be translated into english... My guess is that since the interview was in mexico, the bc was in the official language of the country and didn't need to be translated... now its not in an official language of the country (I dont think spanish is entirely an official language of the US yet..)

4. Yep, no SSN needed.. I still dont have a SSN...

5. Did she not get a vaccination document? She may need to see a civil surgeon and have a vaccination supplement filled out and signed.. not usually too terribly expensive...

Good luck with everything!! Hope this helps...

You do not need to submit a G325 for yourself, only for your wife. And as sjem points out she now has a different name/address/job and visa status! You must submit English translations of birth certificates/divorce decrees etc. that you have in Spanish. Good Luck
