Tomorrow it will be seven month since we were married .... doesnt this seem to be awfully long wait? all I keep hearing is that they only schedule in the second week of the month but I see other people getting appointments. I am so frustred and want this over....... I think I am about to take up smoking again!?!?! any other people suffering the same of any advice on how to get appt quicker?

THat whole thing about only booking the 2nd week of the month or whatever is poppycock, we got our interview date at the end of March.

Be happy that Montreal is no longer taking 6+ months to book interviews, that was a terrible time.

7 months is a long time to wait, however we waited 10 months so I understand your frustration. and I am certain you know that smoking won't speed up your petition right?

Nothing really you can do now but wait. Sorry

Good luck

I kind of figured there was not much we could do......but I knew if there was something it would be on here... much frustration!!! I am lucky enough to only live 10 = 15 mins from my husband - but we want to get our life on track and this has been holding us up!

I called NVC today because we were case complete on March 22nd and hoping to get in for a medical appt next week. They said that they haven't started scheduling for May yet. They said that they will start sometime this week and will not finish until the end of next week. I was advised that if I didn't hear back from them by the end of next week then likely my appt will not be in May. Let us know if you hear back, I'm getting anxious too!
