I submitted in December, compiled all the info from this site and travel.state.gov and just wondering any chance if this can take less than the 5month minimum. I believe i crossed every T and dotted every I, and have my affidavit together and ready. and my Fiancee has a copy of everything

5 months is a goal, it can for sure be faster, as it can be slower. Keep in mind that the Vermont SC as the California SC receive A LOT of petitions everyday. Your petition is waiting on a box during months until an adjudicator look at it. They will look at it one day… and there's nothing other to do than waiting right now.

The good news is that it's been 3-4 months that you're waiting. Be strong and review everything you and your fiance will need to do after it's approved, and how it works in the Manilla consulate. :)

Average wait time for NOA2 approval depends on what petition you filed.

K-1 visa is 5 - 6.5 months on average.

IR-1/CR-1 can be a little long 7 - 8 months.

Like the other person stated. It is sitting in a box until a adjudicator finally gets to your petition.

Stay patient bro. April should be a good month for December filers (especially for Vermont) They have started processing December petitions. The timeline is a bit skewed right now, so don't take it too seriously. The trends are good. They are finished with most October and November petitions. April seems to be the time of the year when processing rates increase at the service centers too. I think you'll have NOA2 this month or at the worst early May. Again some people get unlucky but it's not the norm. This time of the year is typically under that 5 month time frame (3-4) months. There are simply fewer petitions submitted in the winter and holiday months. Honestly, I think it could be any time for you. Another user recently look at the USCIS official data right off the government website for December. It indicated the fewest number of K1 petitions submitted in 2 years. They will work through it quickly.

I agree with other posters comments. It is good that you believe that you did everything correctly, hopefully you won't have any RFEs.... Everyone hopes and prays the same for their particular petition. Read our timeline, it took CSC almost 5 months to process our petition. I have read of others with shorter processing times, and I have read of others with longer processing times, the 5 month mark seem to be their mean processing time at present.

Enjoy the wait.... Become acquainted with the next round of red tape.

Good luck on your visa journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)
