Hello friends,

Right now, I am in the very initial processing on NVC. As per the rule, I need to show affidavit of support to NVC. Presently,I'm a graduate student and I have just annual income of $17,500.00 per year from graduate research assistantship. on year 2009 and 2010, I had an income of about $24,000.00/year. I have bank balance of around $20,000.00.

Q.1. Is that enough to show in affidavit of support for my wife on NVC? We don't have any children.

Q.2. Where do we need to show our marriage and others pictures that shows our relationship? NVC or US embassy? How to arrange the pictures? In Microsoft word/power point and print it or just regular photo print and send to NVC/ or show at embassy at interview?

Q.3. Where I need to submit police report? NVC or US embassy?

Thanks in advance for your kind advise.

God bless us.

You are missing USCIS in your process. That's where 80% of the processing time. Did you read the step-by-step instructions? i-864 is not required until the NVC stage and that can be 6+ months away.

Q1. Form i-864P will list the requirements. For a household of 2 you only need to make $18,912.

Q2. You submit your pictures and supporting evidence when you file I-130 with USCIS and more with DS-230 to NVC. You bring everything to embassy for interview again! Pictures with family members first. I printed Powerpoints for mailing and photos and photobooks at interview.

Q3. Police report with DS-230. They should have everything before scheduling the interview.
