I just join this topic as we are December 2011 filers, but it's starting to make me crazy. So many already have their green card. We waited the 90 days for the EAD and got nothing. Finally called and all of a sudden it's in production. Now we still sit and wait for a green card. How can this process vary so much? I mean, sure, it's different people, different countries, but we all send the same papers. It's all the same things to check, right? How long can it take to review the papers? Why is there another interview if you already did one in an American Embassy? Didn't they write that stuff down? AHHH I know its just me blowing off steam, but MAN I am tired of waiting!

They are completely different petitions. Each step of the process has an interview. The only difference is that AOS and ROC it is possible to not have an interview.

How can it vary? because different people work at different paces, some cases take longer to go through and others don't. Some people have A LOT of cases and some don't. There are countless variables in play.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Count your blessings. You only filed your paperwork 4 months ago.. Mine has been sitting there since May 2011. My EAD is about to expire and I still have no idea what they're doing with my Greencard. I now have to send paperwork in to renew my EAD. :)

I think part of what happens is that the files for spouses of military members get pushed through somewhat faster. Which makes perfect amounts of sense given that they need to get stuff done before deployment and such.
