NOt to excuse the cases of the students he touched uninvited ,,, but in the sex-ed class, students are taught that whenever they feel they are ready for sex to proceed safely. (YOUR BODY YOUR CHOICE)

You might say the school curriculum encouraged this sorta thing.

why do people assume that any of the girls invited it in this case? He was a sex ed TEACHER! Automatically puts him in a position of power over the students does it not? Also, you actually think that ANY of these girls got the urge to have sex with this teacher and thought "oh I want to have sex with him and its okay as long as I 'proceed safely'"?! Thats #######. And you are assuming that any of this sex was done "safely". How can a 14 year old girl make a choice with her 33 year old sex ed/phys ed teacher???

Having sex with your teacher is encouraged? Are you kidding me?

Of course they don't encourage sex with teachers or anyone else specifically, it is left up to the student to decide "when she is ready".

That sounds pretty broad.

No doubt some of these students were more willing than others...... I don't see how he forced anyone to send him nude photos.

But none the less, he used his position and and their vulnerability to :"get some". (actually more than just some)

Without a doubt he should be locked up..... but the reality is, in a decade or so ... when we are farther liberated and our minds are more open, we will look back on this and realize we are at this point.... just being judgmental.... an effect from the "Christian era".

Currently accepted social mores are that it's ok for teens to have sex with teens but not with adults. That's the rules as they stand right now and this guy broke them.

Being able to stay within the boundaries of what is socially acceptable in your lifetime is a valuable social skill, one which this guy clearly has not learned.

I hope he does a better job of acclimating to the new and different social mores regarding sex in prison.
