In EP it just said to send my 2010 tax return.

When it was done at NVC the email said anything that was scaned & sent to NVC needed a hard copy.

1- Do I need to send the original tax returns that I scaned for NVC or can I send a copy?..........I sent my wife a copy of 2008, 2009, 2010 & 2011 not the originals

2- Do I need to send paycheck stubs also?.........I did not send them to her

I was the only one on the I-864, no Co-sponser. I sent her the original DS-230, I-864, she has the P3 Sup.

All the other things asked for were from my wife, the (white books). We had two sets so I did not send her my set.

Thanks for your help.......

I sent only

1) 2011 Tax Transcript from the IRS

2) All my 2012 paystubs for this year-to date

If you can, please get the last years Tax Transcript you filed from the IRS or the last 3 years tax returns. I even have a Tax return DATE STAMPED by the IRS if i needed, but didn't!

and yes, do send them your pay stubs, all that you have for this current year, they want to verify your income!

Good Luck

I say 3 years of returns - including TY2011 - GUZ IV can be one hard sumb|tch about the I-864, and

6 months of pay stubs and

current employment letter

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I am not sure about "hardcopy" but I did review my emails I received from NVC in regards to our EP. I quote from one of their emails: "Please note that all forms and documents that we request

and require in the future must be scanned copies of the originals. The applicant must present all original forms and documents to the consular officer at their visa interview.

Failure to present the required originals at the visa interview will result in a denial or delay in obtaining a visa for the sponsored applicant."

So to me, I would say yes, send the originals that you scanned. As Darnell suggested for the pay stubs and letter, send them. If the consulate doesn't need them at document intake they won't take them, but it's one less thing to worry about if they DO need them.
