Did you guys have a big problem getting the EAD?

My husband and i just sent out everything March 26, 2012. How long would it take to receive a receipt from USCIS? We still haven't heard anything. We are checking the checking account to make sure they have cashed the checks. But still nothing. Should I be worried?

On the time line it says we should receive the EAD between May 27-June 4 or something like that? Is that pretty accurate?

So confused.

Five days is hardly enough time for USCIS to receive your application, open it, review it, and respond to you. It can take a few weeks to receive the NOA1 that USCIS has received your application.

It usually takes 2-3 months to receive the EAD after you file.

There is nothing for you to worry about. You need to give the big US bureaucracy called USCIS a few weeks to get to your case.

Thanks for the response. We mailed I-130 I-485 G-325A I-765 I-131 and I-864 with the amounts for each form for which they asked. So, since we did this, would that take longer to view each of the information with the checks.

Whether you included one check for the entire amount or two separate checks has no bearing on how long it takes for them to process the forms - however, I hope by "with the amounts for each form for which they asked", you are only referring to the fees for the I-130 ($420), and I-485 and biometrics (together $1,070)? There are no fees for the other forms.

Thank you. It's that i am reading most of the timelines, and they usually hear something within 7 days. However, I just remembered my dh(dear husband) did not send the information express mail. He used the regular mailing. On average it takes 3 days to get to the mid-west and usually 1-2 to process. So if he sent it Monday, March 26, 2012, they probably did not receive it until late Wednesday afternoon, or Thursday morning. They would not do a process on Friday or would they have time to do? It's just Monday, April 02, 2012. I guess if we have not heard anything by Friday, April 06, 2012 I will probably be more nervous. However, this week is a holiday week. Will things be more slow this week?

I guess we just have to do the patient game.

Dear Muslim applicant, we both have a big problem (or so we feel).

I am a Muslim myself (born and raised in Islamabad, Pakistan) , I go mosque every Friday and to be an excellent Muslim

I earnestly pray 8 times a day (double of what is required under our holy book commandment).

All this makes me very nervous and worried.

My EAD was approved but yet no sign of Immigration Interview notice.

I heard that there is concern about massive pro-Muslim bias in FBI and USCIS ( allegedly, both agencies provide clearances to Muslim applicants without causing prolonged delays in app processing) and this is a big concern as far as well being of public is concerned.

Under the new proposal the "no record found" or "no adverse record found" will result in an automatic resubmission of

b/g checks (FBI, IBIS etc) and there will be no restriction as to how many times the request can be resubmitted (IO will be strongly encouraged to continue b/g check resubmissions as many times as it takes to get an adverse record).

Be patient , as our great Prophet Mohammad commanded us. Good Muslim should wait 40 years to receive a benefit and best benefit, as you know, is Visa to Paradise.

Hope this helps and best of luck to you.

So, we just wait. insha'Allah, you will get the news you are expecting. insha'Allah, all of us will hear the news we are expecting.
