My husband wants to know if he has to take the driver's test again to get his Illinois license? I would assume he needs to take the written test.

I'm assuming he already has a license, but it's from his home country?

In most states you have to take a road test I'm not sure as to the written one, in NYC it's a must for both.

In Tennessee, even Canadians, have to take vision, road skills and written exams. Hubby will even have to take a US DOT approved motorcycle safety course, and re-take the written exam for a motorcycle endorsement.
