I see you are in Georgia. I intend to move back to Georgia once my interview is done in December. I moved to Ct 3 years ago and the best thing to happen is that I met Mike. I hate the weather... its so expensive. Where in Ga are you?

I live in CT and I am beginning to hate the winters here. I used to like it but now that I have to commute a longer distance to work I dream of relocating to state with moderate winters. And it is sooo expensive to live here. But I guess everything is relative; the salaries generally tend to be higher.

In fact, we are in the same line of work (Financial Analyst) and most of the jobs I have applied for so far is for the same amount or more. I can't wait to find a job! I like my job here but the weather and the cost of living is way too high.

That's not quite true. My friend recently moved down and she makes the same as she was here. In fact, we are in the same line of work (Financial Analyst) and most of the jobs I have applied for so far is for the same amount or more. I can't wait to find a job! I guess it depends on your line of work. I have a few relatives and friends that relocated there and all are paid less in their profession in metro Atlanta than they were here (teachers and healthcare); except for the two that were able to take their salaries with them. One is a manager in Marietta(insurance) and she said that her employees in Atlanta are paid less than her employees in CT. My new manager is from Lawrenceville and she said that she makes a lot more here than she had in Georgia.

I think a lot depends on where you're working too. The gold coast in CT (Stamford, Norwalk, Fairfield Co. etc) employers tend to pay a lot more but look at the housing costs there

When I moved here 3 years I got a $15K raise...for no other reason but the move. Presently, I am up a lot more than that and I still cannot afford to buy a house! I hope I get a job soon
