Rujby if you don't mind me asking, but if the baby is healthy according to your new doctor, what could the doctor write to help you expedite your case?

And another thing, I've seen a few comments here that you need a letter from the doctor in order for the NVC to even look at your requset and that is so not true. It's not the NVC who looks into your request anyway, they will forward it to your embassy. When I emailed NVC my request to expedite my interview appointment I did not send anything along excepts for my thoughts. Yes I did mention that it took us over 200 days at uscis, but the rest that I wrote down were different personal reasons to why I wanted to be assigned a date sooner. I also wrote that I knew that my reasons weren't valid as such but that it's worth a try and they forwarded my request... Now if it will go through or not is a different story, but to say that the NVC wont bother with a request without a doctors letter just ain't right.

It is not good that he was pressuring her to do anything, but if all he was guilty of was applying pressure - there's no case. That is why you need to go get legal advice. Take all the facts with you. A good lawyer can help you sort it out - that's their job!

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png

My wife told him right way, that her decision is made she is keeping the baby. He said, :" then your baby will be miserable all her life"

He's already requested an expedite and NVC has asked for the doctor's medical opinion on needing said expedite.

I hear of people getting checklists for documents that they swear they send in but NVC issues a checklist claiming that they haven't received them... Are these people writing case numbers on every sheet of their packages (aside from barcode and cover letter sheets) or is NVC just that disorganized?

You'd have to ask those who got checklists to be sure, but I'm leaning more towards NVC is just disorganized.

Talk to a lawyer. They can help. Unless there's a lawyer in here, we can't help with this.

I would say when it comes to decisions such as this you cant really ask for advise here because it'll just be opinions and speculations. Your best bet is to speak an attorney whom can instruct you further. :thumbs:

If the baby is healthy and the mom is able to work, there is no emergency.

You can surely ask for an expedite with no paper trail.He did indeed.NVC said they do need that proof of whatever reason he is expediting for.

03/25/2005- got married

USCIS

03/25/2011- I-130 sent in

03/26/2011- NOA-1

09/20/2011- Service Request

09/28/2011- Service Request Reply(extensive background check,allow 6 months...blah-blah..)

10/07/2011- RFE(4 pages)

11/15/2011- RFE reply sent back to USCIS

12/05/2011- reply for RFE showed up in the system (took them 20 days to locate and input in the system...lucky us...)

01/11/2012- NOA2(urrrrraaaaa!!!!)

NVC

01/23/2012-case received(took 12 days...waiting for the case #)

01/27/2012-case # received(but wrong Embassy assigned...has to change)

02/01/2012-invoices are e-mailed to both of us by NVC

02/07/2012-invoices are paid(had to wait due to the wrong assignment of the embassy )

02/14/2012-both packgs are sent in

02/29/2012-checklist for a missing copy of passport(not missing in reality,but either wait 20 days for a review or send it in again,so we sent it in...)

03/09/2012-case complete( could have taken less ,but well..who cares it is complete now!!!)

100% AGREED! I am at 3 weeks of sitting and waiting on my interview date. Everything is on hold depending on that date! PATIENCE!
