Wow, I went home, got to work, and there's like 15 pages of new posts....can't keep up!

I have a REALLY silly question, please forgive me, but can somebody tell me you you quote people inside your own response? I can't seem to figure out how to do it...

In response to Laure&Colin, I just logged in to the Payment Portal, and the payment still says "In Process"....and I know I definitely didn't click the send button twice. I just wrote an email to the NVC to see if they can fix the issue, but we'll see how long it takes for them to get back to me...

Thanks again, everybody!

And no, the money hasn't been debited. How quickly does it usually get debited if it DOES go through? Is it immediate? I tried to pay yesterday, so.....

Well, we paid for the AOS on Tuesday and the money came out at some point yesterday (husband doesn't know exactly when, but he says it was out by 5 PM). So...next day sometime? Payment portal should update today. Keep checking your bank, and the payment portal!

Based on last year within the same time signatures and this year starting in Jan (countries Stats as well - non EP Embassies), I do believe that as long as your NVC case was completed between the 8th and the end of the month, an interview are usually assigned around 9th-12th of the FOLLOWING month (unless offer is greater than demand). And 80% of the time an interview is scheduled within either the end of the same month or the following:

Example:

Case approved 03/15/11 -> Interview assigned 04/10/11 -> Interview scheduled 05/20/11. This is a real example I found around here. Folks that gets their interview sooner are usually because of someone else rescheduled/cancel their time. So chances are if your NVC CC at the end of the month you'll be waiting the least amount of time and vice versa for cases like mine. Despite these facts, I still think this is based on Embassies' seats assigned.

Ask her to pick the phone, call her doctor and they are usually helpful within these cases to have a letter written and signed. "I'm having a baby and I wanna my husband to be with with me", nothing wrong with that.

Even though her appointment is April 18th, she doesn t have to wait to get the letter from the doctor?

If she wants you there in time for the baby, she needs to get it soon. Like, Monday would have been great. If you want to be there in time, get that letter!

Another possibly silly question....I got two instruction emails from the NVC, both with different subjects. The subjects were:

Has everyone else also gotten two? What is the difference between them? My only guess is that the first one says CC, so it's a copy of what should've been sent to my hubby, but he hasn't received anything...

yep, I got two. ACL is the choice of agent form, meant for the beneficiary. PAOSF is the invoice plus a courtesy copy of the choice of agent form, meant for the petitioner. If they have both your email addresses, you will get both. That's all they are :)

We already made the request to NVC, they are just waiting for supporting documents as proof

...you sent the request and didn't have the letter? I hope you get the letter fast.

Hello everyone!

I've been following this board all March, and as we've transferred into April I decided I should probably make an account and join you. This seems to keep my sanity level somewhat normal. The last stretch of this process is driving me absolutely insane. (I'm sure many of you would agree.)

Submitted all our documents to NVC, on March 21. For some reason, my lawyer sent out two packages all at once. I just got a check list on March 30, saying we have one missing piece of information. My husband emailed my lawyer all the needed info, and I haven't been able to get a hold of my lawyer since then!!

I'm going crazy because it could've been in review by now. Do you think I can just email NVC myself by putting the case number on all the scans at the top? Or should I keep trying to get a hold of my lawyer? (Last time it took me two weeks to finally get to him) My emails go unanswered, our phone calls go unanswered and their voicemail is full. It is so frustrating.

Oh, and hello everyone once again! =) :D

I'd suggest to stop trying to contact your lawyer and mail the checklist yourself asap. You can't email it since you're not eligible for EP, but you can certainly mail it yourselves!

Hey guys, I have kind of a stupid question but I thought I'd ask...

We submitted AOS Package and it was approved.

However NVC sent a checklist asking for the IV Package (we have not mailed this yet).

It says on the e-mail with the checklist that I must include the "checklist cover sheet" when the IV package is sent.

Should I really include this "checklist cover sheet" or should I just send the original cover sheet I printed when I paid for the IV Fees?

If it's for the entire package, then the checklist is "false" and you don't need to include it with the package. Just use the one you got from the payment portal. The only time you need to include the checklist one is if it's a real checklist and it's for something very specific.
