Strange that they're downsizing the visa unit, I thought they had taken over immigrant visas for Norway recently? Colin has a good friend who married a Norwegian citizen and she had to go to Sweden for the interview (end of last year I think).

Yes Stockholm are dealing with visas for 3 countries, besides sweden they got Norway and Denmark too..But from what I gathered from the email the embassy sent me the cut downs are only for the summer starting in June... Not that that makes me feel any better though..

Not only does the embassy over here seem to cut down on the visa departement, they also cut down on the dep that handle us citizens issues to... :(

I've been looking over the millinon different documents that I will need when my baby is born later on this month to make her a both a swedish and an american citizen. And when she is born she has to travel up to the embassy and file all the papers there the good thing though is that you can book your appointements for that online... Then I started, just for fun, to look over available dates later on in april and may and there were none! There was one available date left in june so i booked it. Thing is though I had to fill in her date of birth.. :huh: but I filled in the expected due date for now. I'm gonna give the embassy a call 2mrw and tell them what I did, hopefully they'll let me keep that appointement and just let me adjust the baby's info once she has arrived.. If this also is gonna give me issues I'm just gonna lay down and cry for a week...

They surley don't make it easy for anyone!

Steph.... nothing new! Same old thing! I have called again y nada! I am thinking of calling DR and seeing if they give me anything different even if they charge me the $18. maybe they gave give me some answer (then again, they put out the April list literally in April) so who knows!! I dunno what to think anymore!

Has anyone been assigned an interview date in the past couple of weeks?

So the way I understand it the NVC receives a list of available interview slots for each embassy and consulate the second week of the month for the following month. They then schedule interviews for those that are waiting to have an interview assigned. They can continue to schedule interviews until they run out of slots and then they have to wait until the list for the next month is released. This would explain why some users report getting their interview date during the third and fourth weeks of the month even though the NVC operators insist they are only scheduled during the second week of the month.

I sure hope there are available slots in May when they schedule the interview date for my wife and step-daughter.

You do know that some shots needs to be taken like twice with a certain amount of time inbetween? Remeber to ask the doc if it will be enough with just the first doze to enter the US and get the second shot once he is over there.

Yes, on the top right corner of each page. The ONLY pages you do NOT write the case number are: bar-coded cover sheet from the payment portal and the optional cover letter. Everything else though, yes.
