Please to hear that ur Mulim too.Im Preety positive i wont get through AP.Bangladesh is not listed in AP list even though i heard some guys got through it.Lets see what happens.I believe in Allah.Allah will fix everything.I had a feeling you could be Muslim coz your from Egypt.Anyway ur spouse is gonna go through Ap as well Right?

Actually Bangladesh is on the list depending on the source: since it's classified you can always only find unofficial lists, and they vary. There's no way to know right now if you're gonna go through AP or not, it's a possibility. However it's generally resolved pretty quickly for female applicants, from what I've seen.

Well, I have finally gotten my Case number and IIN, wooohooooo! However, I have a few questions for Saylin or anyone that can help because I got a mean lady on the phone with NVC and she made me really nervous and tongue-tied.

1. I tried to give her my and my spouse's email addresses and she said she didn't need them because she already has them, and everything will be emailed to us. So should I try calling back or just leave it at this (the lady didn't even let me read her our email addresses).

2. I am about to send in the DS3032 via email, but how will I know if they have accepted it? Do they ALWAYS send a rejection email if it is not accepted? If so, how soon after receiving it?

3. What should my next step be after sending the DS3032? I just logged in to the Payment Portal, but it won't let me select either the AOS Fee or IV Fee. Should I wait a few days?

Thanks!

Thanks!

So should I try calling back or just leave it at this (the lady didn't even let me read her our email addresses). They can very well have it. When I called before i had the chance to give it to the operator she read it to me. Call again and they should verify all the information with you!! Operator probably had a bad date last night

2. I am about to send in the DS3032 via email, but how will I know if they have accepted it? Do they ALWAYS send a rejection email if it is not accepted? If so, how soon after receiving it? It has been taking about 5-7 days for them to accept the DS-3032. They will email you once it has been accepted, you can be prepared to send it again if you have not seen anything from them after 5 days

3. What should my next step be after sending the DS3032? I just logged in to the Payment Portal, but it won't let me select either the AOS Fee or IV Fee. Should I wait a few days? It can take about 2 days to be invoiced after you get your number but it happens fairly quickly. Only after you have been invoiced will you be able to pay....

Check out the first post it has this information and much more!! good luck

Apparently Supervisor Sue is no more!

I got 2 ( or 3 if you count the automatic answer thingy)emails from nvc while I was sleeping, apparently you are not to have 2 case numbers in one email shame on me! :bonk: Anyways the emails told me that they were looking at my request for expedite and they would get back to me shortly, but it wasn't from Sue, it was from Annie! Eventhough I did put Attn: Supervisor Sue in the thingy

Oh well she seemed nice enough, maybe she's the "new" Sue?

Well, that's interesting. Neela had also emailed Supervisor Sue but got a response back from someone called Kira I believe....

Hi all,

I'm getting ready to send the IV packet, and have a question regarding the translation.

Our marriage certificate is in Arabic, and my husband will interview at the embassy in Kuwait. Our marriage certificate was translated by a certified translator here in Kuwait, and the translation has a certification stamp on it.

Do you think I still need to have the translator fill out something that states he/she is competent to translate English?

Thanks for any help...everyone has been an amazing help!

Translation requirements for NVC:

All documents not written in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations and submitted to the NVC. The translation must include a statement signed by the translator stating that the:

-Translation is accurate, and

-Translator is competent to translate.

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html

So, yes, it's needed.

Hi! We just got approved yesterday. How do we start getting things ready for NVC? We want to start soon so we do not have it pile up on us the last minute.

Read the links on the first post that I compiled. There's quite a few guides you can read, and there's an FAQ as well I put together if you want to go through it.

Hi guys! Just got approved yesterday so here I am trying to make sure my documents are all set for NVC and interview...

I have a tiny question though... When I got my NBI (like a military or police clearance) clearance I was given 2 original copies. The other copy has a stamp that says "personal copy". If I sent the one without the "personal copy" stamp to NVC, is it safe to show the one with "personal copy" stamp at the interview?

I really want to make sure so if that doesn't work, I'll have to obtain another NBI clearance. Hope you can help me with this. Thanks everyone! :-)

Well, you'd send one of them to NVC, they'll then send it out to the embassy, so there's no need to bring it to the interview as they'll have it.

I just read a post from yesterday about a male from Bangladesh who was in AP for 5.5 months... :wow:

That was IN Bangladesh though, not Canada? And wow, long time.

We got approved on Mar 16th and still haven't got our case number. This is getting disheartening :(

Continue to be positive!

Keep in mind, it's taking about 3 weeks to get a case number, so yours should be right around the corner yes.gif

Good morning people i call NVC they ask me to wait until the second week of April and they will see if they can schedule me an interview in May  Isn t that just a script or they were serious about it?

It's always a script.

Anyone in here asked for an expedite at NVC?

I asked for an expedite yesterday to be assigned an interview date sooner, probably wont work but it's worth a shot, the email I recieved said it was currently under review. Does anyone know how long it usually takes them to review an expedite request?

There have been two in this thread I believe. Usually takes a week or so, but it will vary by embassy/consulate as they have to forward the request to them.

Was it an auto response you got or did someone actually reply saying it was under review?

Please to hear that ur Mulim too.Im Preety positive i wont get through AP.Bangladesh is not listed in AP list even though i heard some guys got through it.Lets see what happens.I believe in Allah.Allah will fix everything.I had a feeling you could be Muslim coz your from Egypt.Anyway ur spouse is gonna go through Ap as well Right?

What list is this? Can you link it?

I emailed the embassy here in Stockholm yesterday, asking them how they go about releasing available interview slots to the NVC, I wanted to know if what the operators keep saying is true. They didn't really answer my question but here is what I got...

Dear Lisa,

The scheduling is done by NVC and our part is to advise how many cases per day we are able to handle on account of staffing situation. This summer June-August we have been forced to limit our case load and the wait can be longer than it has been up to now.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa Unit

With that I answer I pray to God I'll get an interview date before they start to limit the case load :(

I think in your case, your interview will be in May, so no worries.

Did you check with her that they have BOTH emails and they are correct?
