Thanks! :-) I read the post on the first page but I don't think it has an answer about showing an NBI clearance with "personal copy" stamp at the interview...

It's my understanding that the NVC wants originals or certified copies of everything, but all documents will be sent to the Embassy as well, so you'd get it back in the end. And the "personal copy" sounds like a certified copy to me :) If in doubt, call your Embassy.

Hi! We just got approved yesterday. How do we start getting things ready for NVC? We want to start soon so we do not have it pile up on us the last minute.

Hey, welcome dude, I'm really happy for your approval, sorry it been forever for you guys. the 1st 2 posts are the Ultra start guidance for a quick pass through in NVC. read it and post any question you may have. good luck. But for starter you need to obtain you Case# and IIN# from a NVC operator and that could take couple weeks for them to assign one.

Your I-130 was approved in 196 days from your NOA1 date

We got approved on Mar 16th and still haven't got our case number. This is getting disheartening :(

It can be for sure! It has been taking at least 20 days to get the NVC# so you should get it soon!

In the main time make sure you have all the required documents. When you get those numbers

the pace speeds up :thumbs:

Anyone in here asked for an expedite at NVC?

I asked for an expedite yesterday to be assigned an interview date sooner, probably wont work but it's worth a shot, the email I recieved said it was currently under review. Does anyone know how long it usually takes them to review an expedite request?

For me it took 14 days.

In the Cairo threads, in most cases, where we've kept track of AP times and genders, the women were approved within 2 weeks of interview and males (for the most part) were around 2 months, sometimes longer, but most often not much shorter... just saying... i hope for no AP for u Neela or for MCM's wife, but if there is, i hope its really short...

Please to hear that ur Mulim too.Im Preety positive i wont get through AP.Bangladesh is not listed in AP list even though i heard some guys got through it.Lets see what happens.I believe in Allah.Allah will fix everything.I had a feeling you could be Muslim coz your from Egypt.Anyway ur spouse is gonna go through Ap as well Right?

NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

I emailed the embassy here in Stockholm yesterday, asking them how they go about releasing available interview slots to the NVC, I wanted to know if what the operators keep saying is true. They didn't really answer my question but here is what I got...

Dear Lisa,

The scheduling is done by NVC and our part is to advise how many cases per day we are able to handle on account of staffing situation. This summer June-August we have been forced to limit our case load and the wait can be longer than it has been up to now.

With that I answer I pray to God I'll get an interview date before they start to limit the case load :(
