Hmmm... I may do just that... But what is it that you're all saying about its... uhm... gas-liberating properties?

I've never found it to make me gassy lol. That's what happens if you order chili cheese fries with extra beans in the chili, but not cheese curds and gravy on fries...?

Yep I know it is mostly guys who get placed in AP but I think in countries where they don't have many AP they will put either guys or girls in AP just to be safe.

I really hope you don't get put in AP and neither does my wife. InshaAllah it will be smooth sailing with visa in hand after the interview.

Insallah bro, hoping both i and ur wife will not get into AP.I prayed my Juhar Prayer and i prayed for both of us.I belive we will be ok.

I will be going to go pray Asr soon and will pray for both of us too.

MCMLXXXII and Neela & Jitu, ur both muslim?! cool!!! me too!!! :)

In the Cairo threads, in most cases, where we've kept track of AP times and genders, the women were approved within 2 weeks of interview and males (for the most part) were around 2 months, sometimes longer, but most often not much shorter... just saying... i hope for no AP for u Neela or for MCM's wife, but if there is, i hope its really short...

That's interesting that for women it's a considerably shorter wait... I wonder if this would apply to Canada too for background checks for beneficiaries from Middle Eastern countries...

It does seem to indicate that the females get through faster, with a few exceptions, of course.

And no, it's not FB :P

Excellent ! SuperVisor Sue is the shiznet, tell her I said hullo !

Apparently Supervisor Sue is no more!

I got 2 ( or 3 if you count the automatic answer thingy)emails from nvc while I was sleeping, apparently you are not to have 2 case numbers in one email shame on me! :bonk: Anyways the emails told me that they were looking at my request for expedite and they would get back to me shortly, but it wasn't from Sue, it was from Annie! Eventhough I did put Attn: Supervisor Sue in the thingy

Oh well she seemed nice enough, maybe she's the "new" Sue?

Attn Supervisor PL Sue - that's the tag used for the expedite request. I've always felt it was simply a routing code, not a real person

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Hi all,

I'm getting ready to send the IV packet, and have a question regarding the translation.

Our marriage certificate is in Arabic, and my husband will interview at the embassy in Kuwait. Our marriage certificate was translated by a certified translator here in Kuwait, and the translation has a certification stamp on it.

Do you think I still need to have the translator fill out something that states he/she is competent to translate English?

Thanks for any help...everyone has been an amazing help!

Hi guys! Just got approved yesterday so here I am trying to make sure my documents are all set for NVC and interview...

I have a tiny question though... When I got my NBI (like a military or police clearance) clearance I was given 2 original copies. The other copy has a stamp that says "personal copy". If I sent the one without the "personal copy" stamp to NVC, is it safe to show the one with "personal copy" stamp at the interview?

I really want to make sure so if that doesn't work, I'll have to obtain another NBI clearance. Hope you can help me with this. Thanks everyone! :-)
