It is frustrating. At first we cried a lot, then we started debating him just moving here, then we sat down and talked/prayed with his parents and all of us left with a very real sense that I need to be there. Now, we're taking action. the poor congressman won't know what hit them LOL...

LOL...I'm getting there, but my biggest problem was always just sitting back and being too afraid to take action and stand up for what I know is right. This part seems to be teaching me that LOL...how to get my facts straight and stand up and say "hey now, listen to this..."

Well, it looks like you were with USCIS for longer than their average of 5 months. You can mention that as well And make sure in the subject line it says: 'ATTN: Supervisor Sue' then I'd probably include your case number behind that. In the body, have both your names, birth dates, and email addresses. And then have your letter about requesting an expedite. Then attach the documents, mentioning in the body which documents you're including. Include the letter as the first page in the attachment.

Just have to ask... the fact that I waited over 7 months at USCIS doesn't entitle me to a speedier interview date, does it? I'm guessing NVC expedite is to expedite the case number -> case complete part of the process, and the interview dates can't be expedited?

Not necessarily. But you can always try.

Remember, you can expedite at each part of this process, USCIS, NVC, and consulate/embassy. Try sending an email to Supervisor Sue, explaining you were at USCIS for 7 months and was hoping your case can be expedited so an interview date can be assigned sooner.

I emailed the visa departement at the embassy here in Stockholm. I asked them how they go about releasing their available interview times to the NVC. I explained that talking to the NVC was talking to a wall and that they said it all came down to the embassies... It's gonna be interesting to see if they'll get back to me on this.

Just heard back - congressman is now getting involved in the name change at least. I think they see it's becoming a gong show, and at least now we have the error documented with congress Once that's done...*puts game face on*

Not necessarily. But you can always try.

Remember, you can expedite at each part of this process, USCIS, NVC, and consulate/embassy. Try sending an email to Supervisor Sue, explaining you were at USCIS for 7 months and was hoping your case can be expedited so an interview date can be assigned sooner.

Sounds like something I'm gonna have a go at, it's worth a try, afterall it did take 200 days for me to get that Noa 2...

Would I just use the "normal" email address and then put down Att: Supervisor Sue?

Holy cow.. two pages since I left school! All I did was stop to get kitty food, you people make it hard to catch up sometimes

Glad you're making some progress with the congressman, and they're actually going to do something. I've seen some that have zero interest in cases or drag their feet doing things.

Definitely worth a try. The worst that can happen is you're told no.

Yes, use the NVC inquiry email address with a subject line of: "Attn: Supervisor Sue CASE #". Read up on the posts I replied to Shell for more directions.
