I think this would be a great night for disney movie fest! They make ya feel good :D Great way to relax from this mental test lol :)

Oh right, consulate. My bad :P Tee hee :D

His family is heartbroken for their son, and for me, and nearing feelings of shame at all of this. They're encouraging us to stay strong - they came over last night and sat down with us and everything - but it's wearing on them too.

Question, Saylin - what do you think are the odds that my difference in name is what's gumming up the works? The way I figure it, SOMETHING has to be throwing my file into an exception status...and that's the only thing I can think of besides Trav's birthdate.

Now I'm thinking of watching a Disney movie this afternoon :D Which one though, which one...

And I don't know about your name. It baffles me that they used it in the first place. Once this is all straightened out, I'd suggest trying for an expedite, mentioning that it's been X amount of days since getting your case number to getting an AOS invoice, that Trav's birth date was wrongly inputted, and that your name was very wrongly inputted, all due to NVC error. It might work ;)

I enjoy watching them with my kidlets. They range in ages from 15 to almost 7, so I have a long time to keep watching lol

My 13 year old daughter loves Disney and is quite the artist. Her dream is to work in either animation or the music end of the business for Disney. I told her 'why not do both?' She is in the Talented and Gifted Program through her school and on Saturdays she goes to the local community college for classes. She signed up for every art and music class they offered :)

If she dreams and believes, it will happen ;)

You know...THAT is an excellent idea! As soon as I pay the AOS invoice, I am sending my request along with my supporting documentation of their errors (trav's birth cert, my passport and our marriage cert) to Supervisor Sue. Well, it looks like you were with USCIS for longer than their average of 5 months. You can mention that as well ;) And make sure in the subject line it says: 'ATTN: Supervisor Sue' then I'd probably include your case number behind that. In the body, have both your names, birth dates, and email addresses. And then have your letter about requesting an expedite. Then attach the documents, mentioning in the body which documents you're including. Include the letter as the first page in the attachment.

Sounds like a good plan. Yep, was at USCIS for over 6 months actually - almost 200 days. I'm going to review exactly what to say to Supervisor Sue once I'm done work. Now...does it still go to the main nvc email?

Yeah, I'd definitely mention being at USCIS for that long. Might help yes.gif

If you want, I'd gladly go over what you're going to say, either here or in a PM.

And yes, it goes to the NVC inquiry email address, mentioned in the first post at the bottom.

It is frustrating. At first we cried a lot, then we started debating him just moving here, then we sat down and talked/prayed with his parents and all of us left with a very real sense that I need to be there. Now, we're taking action. :) the poor congressman won't know what hit them LOL...
