Well, since you only have one photocopy, just put it behind the marriage certificate. I'd suggest putting a sticky note on the original stating 'Original Marriage Certificate', then put another sticky note on the photocopy stating 'Photocopy of Original Marriage Certificate'. This will then, hopefully, erase all confusion for the reviewing officer and make it easy for them.

For your question about sending a photocopy of the non avail certificate and affidavit, it depends if you want those two documents back. If you do want them back, then include photocopies and use sticky notes like I suggested in my last paragraph. If you don't want them back, then don't bother with photocopies.

Saylin,

I am soooo confused now. My marriage certificate that I have is a certified photocopy of the original. Am I required to send the original marriage certificate to the NVC?

No, in your case you'd send the certified copy as well as a regular photocopy. Whenever I said 'original', take it as 'original/certified copy'.

Saylin,

Talking about all this photocopies and original docs, I have a question: I have a co-sponsor and I need to send with my AOS package his proof of citizenship, He has a birth certificate, but does he need to notify that? Or it can be just a simple copy of his birth certificate?

Thank you!

For the AOS package when proof of citizenship is needed, just a photocopy is needed. Doesn't have to be the original or a certified copy. It's in the instructions for the I-864 :)

First you need to get a case complete from NVC :P

Typically, on average for most countries, the interview is about two months from case complete. So, if you finish with NVC this month, yours will most likely be around July.
