But what about if i have that deaseas when i move there?

The chances of getting meningitis in the US or Canada are slim to none. The Meningococcal disease is not an issue in this part of the world.

Meningococcal disease is a leading cause of bacterial meningitis in children 2 through 18 years old. Only adults with compromised immune systems need to get the vaccine. IE AIDS, HIV, Spleenectomy, or anyone traveling to, or living in, a part of the world where meningococcal disease is common, such as parts of Africa.

Thanks for writing a review.That will defenitely be a great help.Plz Give me the link of your review soon after you are done.My immunization record is ready.But my family doc is confusing me between (meningococcal C) & (meningococcal ACYW).He told me to get ACYW coz it has C in it and i will have also AYW in bonus whereas in (meningococcal C) only has C.I didnt get the vaccine yet coz i want make sure which one is good.It costs $150. :wacko: .Can you plz check in you immunization record which on you took (meningococcal C)/(meningococcal ACYW)?

I took all the shots already.Except 1.

Because it's not needed. And that is why insurance and OHIP are not paying for it.

The only two Menigcococcal vaccines approved by the CDC for use in the US are, MCV4 & MPSV4. Your doctor didn't give you the choice of either one, Canada uses the new ACYW-135 vaccine.

The Meningococcal vaccine is only given to children and the elderly because children and the elderly have the highest death rate of bacterial meningitis.

It is only given to adults who lack an immune system. If you have your spleen and you don't have HIV or AIDS you don't need it. It's a waste of $150.00

If you plan on moving to a leper colony in Louisiana, or plan to live in a dormitory full of unwashed people, then spend the money.

If you are really concerned about needing the immunization and worried you might get meningococcal meningitis, (the odds are 1:300,000,00) you can get it at any county health department in your state for free after you immigrate.

Reviewing any incomplete vaccination series to determine if eligible for a blanket waiver.

A blanket waiver is a waiver that is applied uniformly to a group of conditions and does not require a separate waiver application or fee to be filed with USCIS. In many cases, it might not be medically appropriate to administer a dose of a particular vaccine. Five "Not Medically Appropriate" categories are acceptable when determining an applicant's eligibility for a blanket waiver.

The five "Not Medically Appropriate" categories are—

Not age appropriate

For each vaccine for which administration is not age appropriate, the "Not age appropriate" waiver box must be checked. For all applicants, this box will need to be checked for at least one vaccine. For example, infants and adults do not need meningococcal vaccine, and adults do not need Hib vaccine.

Insufficient time interval between doses

If the minimum time interval between the last documented dose and the next required dose has not passed, the "Insufficient time interval" waiver box for that vaccine must be checked.

Contraindication

If an applicant has contraindications to specific vaccines, the "Contraindication" waiver box for that vaccine must be checked.

Not routinely available

When the required vaccine is not licensed or not routinely available in the country where the medical examination is performed, the "Not routinely available" waiver box must be checked.

Not fall (flu) season

Influenza vaccine is required during the influenza (flu) season in the country of examination. The flu season usually occurs during fall and continues through early spring in temperate areas,influenza activity peaks from December to MarchThe influenza vaccine might be available only during the flu season in the country of examination. Therefore, if that is the case, the "Not fall (flu) season" waiver box must be checked at other times of the year.

:) I had to do a clinical rotation in the health department. I've stuck so many people with so many vaccines I lost count a long time ago. (and I get to do it again! yay!)

The 10-12 year old kids are the WORST to give shots to. At that age they think everything is going to kill them and they scream bloody murder. They are also quite strong and like to bite.

And Wow! never knew 10-12 years kids are so worst that they also bite.You must have pateince to deal with them.If i were you i would slap tham if they bite me.(just kidding i know i can't slap them)

04/05/12 - NOA-2

Your I-130 was approved in 184 days from your NOA1 date.

04/23/12 - NVC received both cases (18 days/12 business days from NOA-2)

05/07/12 - Case numbers and IIN's (14 days/10 business days since NVC received)

05/07/12 - Sent out DS-3032 by email; auto-response received

05/08/12 - AOS fee invoiced, paid - "IN PROCESS"

05/09/12 - AOS fee shows as "PAID"

05/10/12 - Spouse's DS-3032 accepted; minor child's rejected = had petitioner call NVC = received verbal acceptance from operator

I just used the February form as the new one is exactly the same and I already had it set to go. If you download a new one now it will expire on 4/30, which is two days from now. My form appears to have been approved with no problems, I imagine they aren't too picky about this. The DS-3032 they sent me expired in 2006.

Saylin, I made a list of possible interview question in MS word and hang it on the wall, arrange Ds-260 review sheets and also Ds-230 in one file coz who knows which one they ask.Trying to do something while this wait. :whistle:

Montreal doesn't ask for the DS-230 anymore. They're finally used to the online system, so they have your DS-260 on record. No need to bring either of them. You can bring them just in case, but they won't ask for it.
