I sure did!!! Priority mail, should arrive Monday!!! I sealed it up last night, felt so good and the package was so well organized and labelled... My mom told me I should consider an immigration counseling job on the side since I seem to do it so well and organized... lol I'm thinking about the prospect of it... ;)

good.gif

Perhaps we should start up a business. I'll give immigration advice and you can put people's packages together ;)

I understand that they go through different processing, and I was not comparing or trying to say they love each other less, just a simple question. WHY do we get second preference when it comes to interview scheduling? WHY can't we schedule our own interviews as well? WHY do we have to hear an operator tell us to wait 2-3 weeks more to be scheduled for another month when there ARE dates available at our embassy right now. If it sounded like an attack to K1 filers, I apologize, but I am frustrated knowing that I have to wait until May 14 to be scheduled for "sometime" in June..while the embassy has dates available now...just because NVC is "done" scheduling.

Have you researched about how your embassy does scheduling for both K1 and IR-1/CR-1 visas? Perhaps the K1s can only schedule during one week a month whereas IR-1/CR-1 get the other 3 weeks for interviews? Or perhaps those K1s have been waiting weeks and weeks for an interview date to open up for them as the IR-1/CR-1s have taken the other dates? Have you ever thought about that?

As for why you can't schedule your own, wouldn't you prefer NVC to do it so you make no mistakes? And it's a lot more fair that way as I'm sure some people who don't know what they're doing wouldn't get an interview in the same order as cases were completed. NVC is making a fair system for IR-1/CR-1 visas. With K1s, it's all up in the air. For Canada, some K1s have to wait a month or two before a slot opens up. Could be the same for your country.

And just because you saw K1s getting dates for early May, does NOT mean there aren't still dates left for early May. Again, the K1s go through a completely different process and their dates mean absolutely nothing about what dates are available for IR-1/CR-1 visa applicants.

The only difference between a fiance and a spouse is a little paper saying you're married. That's it.

Not so "little" Saylin ... that little paper as you call it is a "Legal binding Contract for Life" that a Fiancees don't have.

It's definitely not for life in many cases: divorce.

And again, it's just a paper saying you're married. Many fiances live together, like spouses do, and love each other, just like spouses do. The only difference (for spouses) is a paper saying you're married. Doesn't mean that spouses have a higher priority than fiances because of a simple paper. My point was that a piece of paper doesn't indicate whatsoever that spouses love one another more than fiances do.

DS-261 is for countries eligible for online forms. Has nothing to do with EP. It's just the online version of the DS-3032. For your case, you're not eligible; you can only send the DS-3032.

Yes, if you haven't already done so, send the DS-3032.

The AOS and IV are two different tracks which have nothing to do with one another.

Hey all,

have people been getting their DS-3032's approved/IV fees invoiced lately? I am getting so frustrated, not having heard anything after two emails and two weeks... I have quadruple checked everything, and the email itself should be fine! The operator only says "to allow them more time" :(

Another question; on the DS-230, I need to answer three questions on a separate sheet for them not fitting on the form. Can I put all answers on the same additional sheet, or should each one be answered separately? Should I write "see additional sheet" in the form itself, or fill it out as much as I have room and add "see additional sheet" on the very last line?

Thanks you guys :) And ughghg please tell me I'm not the only one whose emails are being ignored!

It's been taking around a week for DS-3032s to be approved (could be more as NVC is going through a backlog at the moment). Just wait until you get an email response back from NVC. After that, it should be a few days for the IV to be invoiced. The IV isn't invoiced until after the DS-3032 has been accepted.

If you have enough room for all three questions and answers to be written, then I'm sure putting it on one sheet would be fine. When I had to attach an additional sheet, I didn't fill out the question at all on the form and just wrote 'see additional sheet' on the first line.

Not me

What I did was write "Please see attachment" where the answer would be. If it all fits on one page, I'd write it on the same page. Just clearly note which answer for each question.

Thanks you guys :) And ughghg please tell me I'm not the only one whose emails are being ignored!

Yours is not the only one being "ignored". Had I known it'd take this long I would of mailed it in. Saved absolutely no time via email.

Congratulations gad33 on the sale of your house!   Even with closing, etc. to come, it must be a relief!

Congratulations to all other good news (case numbers, IV invoice, case complete, interview dates, etc.) to all who receive them today!

My passport application was submitted in person just after 8:30 this morning. I'll be going to pick it up by May 11, at the latest. It messed up a visit from the Hubby for next weekend (he takes the MegaBus from Pittsburgh to Detroit and I go pick him up from there) since I won't have a passport yet. We figured it was more important to get this taken care of since he'll be coming up in 3 weeks for my birthday and this was a last minute trip he didn't expect to be able to make. Now ALL of my ID will be in my married name! :luv:

Going to take a break from all this until Monday. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!! :D

That's super great! I have to wait till I get there to change my name :crying:
