So I just got off the phone with nvc, today I was talking to Frank. Frank read straight out from a manuscrip. No personality what so ever!He did not however give me the 2nd week of april speach but said that they were waiting on information from the embassy in stockholm. He had no information on when an appointement could be booked... :bonk:

Would a call to that other place, what's it called, be better?

You and me got CC's on the same day and to be honest with you I'm more incline to "wait" for the official email notification with the Interview date rather than calling everywhere and stressing about with answers from operators that seem to go nowhere. We have VJ members here whose cases were completed by mid-March and they still don't an Interview date set yet. So I guess if they don't have, we will get ours after them if this process follows any pattern at all.

Citizenship

6/24/2016: Mailed N-400 package via USPS from Naval Base Yokosuka, Japan

7/11/2016: Received NOA1 dated 7/5/2016

11/3/2016: Received email from USCIS-Seoul Office with Naturalization appt set for 11/30/2016

11/30/2016: Naturalization Interview on Naval Base Yokosuka, Japan. N-400 Approved

12/1/2016: Naturalization Ceremony

Well if we get our dates before or after them really depends on our embassies. Besides I like to call once a day, makes me feel like i'm doing something in comparison to uscis stage when you had absolutely no chanse to talk to anyone!

So my question wasn't really if I should call or not, it was if dos is better than nvc..

I think you should call DOS they are the direct contact to your embassy. NVC is the middle man, pretty sure they know everything that NVC knows and more.

Fix the I-864 so line 25 matches exactly to the income listed on your transcript. If you filed a 1040 it's your TOTAL income, if you filed 1040EZ it is the ADJUSTED GROSS income. I have a feeling your lawyer used the adjusted gross income, even though you filed with a 1040.

Have your lawyer, or you, write a letter to NVC and explain to them at the situation with the divorce decree. That might fix the situation.

My lawyer stated that they're in the process of correcting it now and they will be resubmitting it again, she also stated that I need to be prepare for them to go back and forth with the NVC about the divorce decree, but I called my husband this morning and asked him to go back to the high courts and see if he could get something from them, he said that the lady at the court told him that she would get him another copy and put a seal on it, she informed him to pick it up in the morning do hopefully they will accept it.

OK guys, I'm off to Montreal tomorrow so slow down on the posting because I won't be able to check here very often. :)

I don't think that will ever happen laughing.gif

Once NVC receives the DS-230 and other documents, if everything is good, how long does it take before the case is complete? And what is the next step after that?

It's only been taking about a week to complete a case after the last package is received (if no checklists, of course). When did you send in the IV package?

The next step is waiting for an interview date to be scheduled. I suggest going back to post one with my links and FAQ and re-read them yes.gif

Just paid the AOS bill :)

Grats! kicking.gif

Wouldn't calling TWO places (DOS and NVC) be better than just calling ONE place (NVC)? You have two chances of hearing about your interview date instead of just one.

When do they send your packet your embassy? When you get your interview date or when your case has been closed?

In most cases, NVC only ships out the case after an interview date has been scheduled.

Ugh, two hours?! How do you function? I'm tired after 6 hours!

Yeah, I usually get 7 hours and I'm exhausted. I can't imagine functioning properly with only two hours of sleep... Although I did it the morning of my interview as I couldn't fall asleep the night before, despite going to bed early headbonk.gif

I guess the AVR is kaput now. Mr. Piglet NVC Announcer has changed his opening speech to "Please have your CIS case number or NVC number and the full name of the Petitioner and Beneficiary to give the representative"

I'm on hold to see if our AOS is accepted or if we have a checklist...

The IV bill cleared our bank this morning, so should show paid on portal soon, yay!
