My wife went to the Santiago Embassy this morning and was let right in and met with Maria Elena who has been working on our case. She told her all our documents were in order and she assigned an interview date of May 7. I just received an email from the Embassy confirming the same thing. They also told me that it is not necessary for me to be at the interview. I knew it was optional for me to attend, but it puts me more at ease if I decide not to attend due to the price of the airfare being high since I don't have 2 weeks notice.

I do plan to travel to Chile so I can escort my wife and step-daughter to the US, but I might wait and go the week after the interview.

As you can imagine we are both super excited about this. My wife and step-daughter have their medical exam tomorrow. My wife has been running around all week trying to get all the vaccination records for her daughter and is at the pediatricians office right now getting the vaccines that she still needed.

At this point I feel very confident that my family will be with me in the US before Memorial Day

Should all of this documents be send to nvc ?

First post

"Generally, the following is needed:

- Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal

- Completed, signed, and dated DS-230 form by beneficiary (do NOT sign or date part 2; this is done at the interview) [note: if doing online forms (DS-260), the DS-230 is obviously not needed]

- Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

- Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

- Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original police certificate(s) "

The US Embassy in Warsaw , Poland webpage http://poland.usemba...sing_uscis.html is saying:

"What do I do with the other forms?

Complete the biographic data form DS-230-I Part I, for each person applying for a visa, regardless of age. The form may be photocopied if insufficient copies are received. The completed DS-230-I should be returned to the NVC.

Review the information concerning police certificates: All applicants 16 years and over are required to furnish a police certificate (certificate of good conduct) to cover any period of residence of twelve months or more since reaching the age of sixteen; the period of residence is six months in the country of birth or current residence.

Assemble all of the relevant documents required in support of the application and forward the form DS-2001, Applicant's Declaration of Qualification for Immigrant Visa Interview, to the NVC. The other documents must not be mailed to the NVC or the Immigrant Visa Unit at the Embassy. You will be required to furnish the original and one copy of all documents on the day of the formal visa interview and medical examination at the Embassy."

So what should be send in IV package then?

Thanks

Follow what I wrote in the first post. It's from NVC's site. Not sure what Poland's site is talking about.

I'm not sure if your country is one of the ones eligible or required to submit documents electronically. You should find that out.

Nope, Poland isn't eligible for EP nor online forms.

Are you stressed from school? :(

Yeah... I'm still 3 assignments behind in my Java class, I've got 4 assignments to do in another class... and there's only like 2-3 weeks left of school. It's starting to pile on with some classes. Plus, I still have to do my Canadian taxes which is confusing me beyond belief. I'm going to have to call an operator, but I won't have the chance today. And I'm dead exhausted from little sleep last night as I was kept up with my coughing out a lung. *sigh* I can't wait for summer to get here so all I have to worry about is work...

/rant

for K1 it is easier i see people receiving their NOA2, after a week or 2 their case are already at the embassy. While they keep telling us that there is no more May interview until yesterday K1's were getting May interview, there is a Haiti member that got her interview yesterday she had May 10th

Stop looking at K1 cases. They go through a completely DIFFERENT process. Only look at fellow IR-1/CR-1 cases.

I just got my invoice for the AOS and IV fees and paid them right away

Grats! Are the two packages ready to go once the bills appear as PAID?

Good Morning,

I am thinking that if by the end of the week I don't receive the DS-3032 acceptance email, that maybe I can mail it in with the checklist cover sheet that they sent me for it. It almost seems like it'd be faster that way. I've emailed it twice already and all I have gotten back are the AUTO RESPONSES....

What do you guys think? Would that create confusion? Although it seems it does not take much for that to happen over @ NVC...

Please just be patient. Do not send them multiple copies of the DS-3032. Just wait it out until NVC responds. You have got to keep in mind that NVC is receiving thousands of emails per day. It does take time to get through them all.

FINALLY Paid the IV bill!!!! wooo hooo!

Grats! How's the IV package looking?

So as I was writing my last message I was invoiced... YAY!!!!!

My To-Do List

Pay IV bill... DONE!!!

(did it on my phone lol)

Yay, finally!! kicking.gif I know you already have the IV package ready to go :P

it's been 3 weeks since NOA2, something's wrong with us or NVC? no case#!!! :crying::angry: we received NOA2 on April 4

seems ur still within normal processing time... it has been taking longer lately... check Saylin's spreadsheet in her signature for processing times similar to yours and that should give u an idea of where u stand... hang in there, its coming...

GUess who just got her case number!!!!! me me me.

Ok so now do i have to go put it on all my documents and behind my hubby's passport picture?

hahaha, YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! even I've been waiting for your case number... LOL... awesome news... today is a great day... now, u can gether both AOS and IV packets, make sure forms are signed where they need to be and completely filled where they should... for the AOS packet, u can write the NVC case # in the right top corner of every document except for the barcode cover sheet (gotten once u pay the bill) and ur own cover letter (should u choose to include one), remember that once u pay and print out the the barcode cover sheets, that they should appear first in ur packet...

As for the IV packet... hopefully u have that ready as well, u can write ur case number on the DS230 form, as for the beneficiary's original documents, perhaps consider writing ur case number on a sticky note and attaching it to the top right corner of each document so that u dont write on it, unless u dont care... here as well, make sure the barcode coversheet (once u pay the IV bill) is first thing in the packet and no need to write anything on it... the 2 passport photos make sure u write the beneficiary's full name, NVC case # and DOB on back of each, and maybe stick in a baggie and staple to a blank sheet so they dont get lost...

i can't think of anything else... i'm buzzed right now, so happy for any progress!!!

Well, at least this morning no one tried to tell me our case isn't in Montreal. No interview date, no word, nothing. Oh well.

No news is good news?

got my IV fee bill FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow.gif

Yay, grats!

Finally got my IV invoice, got email and it showed up in the payment portal as well. yaaaay, i'm so happy.

Grats! Looks like NVC has definitely released a bunch of IV invoices today! I bet everyone who is waiting for an IV invoice will get it today yes.gif

it's been 3 weeks since NOA2, something's wrong with us or NVC? no case#!!! :crying::angry: we received NOA2 on April 4

NVC is currently assigning case numbers to NOA2 dates of mid to late March. You will probably get yours in a week or so. Just keep calling once a day.

Grats on the upcoming interview date! kicking.gif Looks like everything worked out for you guys after all ;)

GUess who just got her case number!!!!! me me me.

Ok so now do i have to go put it on all my documents and behind my hubby's passport picture?

Grats!! kicking.gifkicking.gif

Looks like NVC is now taking up to a month to assign case numbers. Hope they get rid of this backlog real soon.

And yup, put that case number on everything you're sending in.
