The Canadian Government is strict about photos for their passport and have to be stamped on the back as to who took them and the date. Fills up the back of the photo. I've found that when our family has photos taken for US purposes, sometimes they stamp the back and sometimes they don't.

So - think it might be wise to go in and get a new set done, requesting that they not be stamped as they are for us purposes?

Yeah...I don't want to but maybe should. Also thinking of going to get just police name checks done on my former surnames because I have a sinking feeling someone's going to ding me for those too (the former surnames didn't show up on my criminal record checks, so even though I got fingerprinted and all my names were searched, I just don't know - and the mistakes are starting to make me second guess everything)...

I just called the NVC again to see if they had any idea when i would get my invoices for my AOS and IV fees and like usually they were useless. Every step of this process we have been delayed first with USCIS getting behind and taking almost 7 months to get our NOA2 then NVC taking longer then normal becuase of the overflow for USCIS plus with the price changes. I just want to get this over with. I am so annoyed right now. :clock:

I think the question was asked in the Canadian forum about names you can check there or ask the question in that forum.

Was probably me that asked it but got too many different responses. Lol. Also asked NVC and they said I should be fine, but do you think I put much stock in the accuracy of their responses at this point? :)

Like I said, I got an email and still nothing... its not just about the email, they're not releasing the invoices all at once... there's obviously a difference or a lag with the emails and the actual bill posting in the portal...

saylin i just want to ask you how long does it take to get answer about expedite request?

It will always vary depending on the consulate/embassy and how busy they are. Some people hear of the decision the next day, others have to wait a week or more.

You just have to wait for NVC to send you the expedite decision from the embassy.

Mine was approved in 2 days, but that is faster than normal. If your expedite is approved NVC sends your case to the consulate/embassy where you will have the interview. Once the consulate/embassy receives your case they review the case to determine what steps remain and then they contact you to provide the documentation for the remaining steps as well as assign an interview date.
