I don't have anything that good to sell...a winter jacket (way too heavy for VA winters lol), a pair of once-used rollerblades (last used in like, 2002), and potentially a roasting pan (brand new in box, kitchen aid, but NO idea how I can ship it because it won't be cheap!). I can see how your stuff earned you more!!! reposting ads when you're out there is awesome!

Oh, yeah, you probably won't get much for those. And I only shipped two of my things. Everything else was sold locally in Montreal, so I only had to drive and meet someone to sell things, or with furniture, they came to pick it up.

And I've been reposting my ads while here in the US devil.gif But haven't sold much as people refuse to come up to my dad's house which is like 30-45 minutes away from Montreal, where most people are located headbonk.gif

LOL...the rollerblades are actually Salomon, size 6 (I think) on really spinny wheels...they're nice but I just...wow I can't rollerblade LOL :P (My knees agree with me!) The jacket I'll probably just give away, but the roasting pan...I'm going to try and pack it in two of my suitcases LOL.

You can try selling the blades. Worth a shot! Make sure to include a photograph of it on the ad :P And yeah, I can't rollerblade either. When I visited my husband back in 2010, he wanted me to try. So we got some cheap blades at like Walmart or something. I put them on, and then I just stood there. I found out I don't have balance so no skating for me. Should have seen it coming as I could never ice skate either headbonk.gif I'd love to know how though since my husband is AWESOME at it.

Good luck with packing the pan :Plaughing.gif

See, I used to figure skate - that's the crappy part! I WANT to blade, but wow...and did you do the funny "walking" in your blades? That's just goofy looking -and it's how I go :) Has he tried to teach you?

LOL oh I have the pan planned out! I have two nearly identical suitcases. I will line each with a towel, then place one half of the roaster inside, then fill with other towels and bedding. Voila! :D Oh yeah, I have to sell my backpacking bookbag too...somehow I don't think I'll be allowed to ship 5 suitcases on the plane with me...

I called nvc, the embassy has not given their final decision yet.... I'm happy because today my wife received a letter at her house from nvc date April 18th stating our request was denied. This letter was written for the previous request that we made and was written the same day we made our second request. The second request was sent at 10hpm april 18th and got a message from nvc saying the reviewing started april 19th. It was just to avoid confusion I called and to tell wifey there is still hope.

Oh good, I"m glad you were able to make your wife less confused! And I'm glad they're still working on your request - didn't they deny your other request pretty quickly?

Yeah, I kinda skated as a kid, but I was horrible at it. And last time I ice skated was in Florida between 2005-2007 when I was living there, and I had to hold onto the edge of the ice arena the whole time otherwise I'd fall on my butt >_< My experience on roller blades were worse as I couldn't hold onto anything. So, my husband would skate while I was behind him, holding onto dear life onto his jeans laughing.gif And then he moved, and lost my skates, so I can't try again even if I wanted (unless I wanted to dish out money again on them).

Sounds like a good plan for the pan! And oh gosh, you're planning on moving by flying? I would never have been able to get all my stuff in suitcases. Everything of mine was in boxes and packed solid in a car. I had/have so much stuff wacko.gif

LOL...well, your rollerblading experience is a good way to build memories! :D that's a funny story lol. I'm going to guess you won't be dishing any money out anytime soon for more blades lol...

Yeah, I sure am moving by flying! I don't drive, and if I POE before July (which I really REALLY hope to), then Trav has no vacation time. So...Delta it is! I've been weeding out my stuff for the past year - first in March when I moved back to Manitoba and took only what I could carry. Then, again in september when a friend took me to Saskatchewan with a truck (no trailer though), and I had to pick what would fit inside the truck. Then, December - another move, because my landlord was selling the mouse-infested house I was living in, so more weeding out. And now, I have a month or two to finish up. I should be good to move by air - but I hope to get it down to 3 bags (bow case included :D )

All I can say is you're impressive! I'd never be able to fit everything I have in 3 suitcases. I'd need at least 15 or so laughing.gif

laughing.gif Make digital ones :P They don't take up any physical space!

Has anyone received their DS-3032 only. I thought they usually sent out DS-3032 and AOS Bill at the same time? How are some of your experiences.

I received my DS-3032 in the first package (with the case numbers and such). But why are you concerned about that? Haven't you emailed the DS-3032 to NVC already?
