The operator advised that the NVC is unable to schedule an interview appointment due to the embassy's capacity in my country and to call back in June (OK ). I guess the embassy here is flooded with visa applications in other categories......I will call back later 2day.

Just spoke to the NVC and verified all three cases are completed!!!! I am so excited!!!! The operator inform me that the interviews are normally scheduled the first two weeks of the month. She also inform me that once the interview is scheduled then they send the cases to the embassy, is this true and when would my husband and kids have to have their medical done?

One thing I have learned is lawyers do not speed up the process, my case was delayed over 3 weeks because they couldn't get the amount on my 2011 tax form to match with the amount they put on line 25 , all I kept thinking is all the money that I spent I could have saved just by reading the info on this site

I think you are spot on with that comment. If you are a "normal" case like Saylin mentioned, there is no need for a lawyer. All you need is VJ and some patience

I and my husband would like an interview date so badly!

I called NVC last night and was told that they are finished scheduling for the month of May, and will be recommencing in the 2nd week in May for the month of June!

What nonsense is this???

Got the same thing yesterday...I sent an e-mail to the consulate last night asking if they only schedule interview dates during a certain week of the month and they replied this morning saying that they do CR-1 interviews all month long. So basically we are just waiting for NVC to open their little calendar and schedule us...how hard can that be

Spoke to a lady over at NVC... states that they received my case April 16th and I have to wait 16 days for them to enter it in.

So I received an email at 1:20am from NVC, "checklist cover letter"... Seems to be my IV bill for $230...

::got excited (excitement = 100%), opened payment portal, saw no IV bill, excitement = 0%, going back to sleep::

At least I'm consistently falling asleep unhappy... Oh NVC, why do you toy with my emotions?! SIGH...

I STILL HAVE NO EMAIL OR PAYMENT and I have finals coming up, so yay this additional stress from the IV bill is EXACTLY what I need

I talked to Bob today. He was very nice and helpful. He said that there has been recently a large influx of cases. He said it should be in the building and give us a little bit more time till middle of next week. He said I should also email the nvc and ask where my case is so that they can ensure it has been received.

Nothing new, but at least spoke to a nice person.

I am not able to pay online since my attorney is my agent... so I'm just waiting on news from her about if she has got the invoice yet. Would I be able to call the NVC and be able to see if she has received the invoice yet? I've heard nothing from her, but I want to make sure the process goes as fast as possible.

I just hung up on my first DoS operator. Folks, Anna gives out HORRENDOUS information and has bold face lied to me twice. I have confirmed that Montreal has my case as of Tuesday. She has told me twice they do not - and is the only operator to do so, everyone else indicates that the case is in Montreal. If you speak to her, be ready to hang up.

First she flubbed up her opening line, that's ok, we all have off days. Then she put our case number in wrong, twice.

Then she says "This case is still at the NVC, they haven't forwarded it to Montreal yet, you won't get an appointment until then. You paid all your fees?"

"Uh they don't forward the case to Montreal until an interview date has been set. You would know before NVC."

"Oh, well, you have to wait on package four"

"CR-1 doesn't get package four until the interview has been assigned."

"Oh"
