I called DoS today and for the first time the lady asked for names and DOBs. I got all excited. She put me on hold then said "I'm sorry, we're not showing an interview appointment yet, and packet four has not been sent"

I chatted Saylin up, and she said they never asked for names and such until she had an interview date, and the packet 4 thing confused her as much as it did me.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

No but you know about mine - DoS ALWAYS asks me for name and date of birth, sometimes just beneficiary, sometimes both. Today they are making me want to ram my phone down their throats, but that's something else entirely. :innocent:

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png
06/09/2012 - POE @ YWG (Winnipeg Int'l Airport)

Removal of Conditions submitted March 24, 2014, received March 26, 2014

"RFE" for page 3 of application received, date March 27, 2014. Package re-submitted with all papers re-attached.

04/07/2014 - NOA1 Date

05/07/2014 - Biometrics in Charlotte, NC

11/05/2014 - APPROVED! Citizenship in 5 months!

11/10/2014 - NOA2 in hand.

11/20/2014 - 10 yr GC in hand! :D

So I called NVC to check on my IV invoice, well still nothing and it is being looked at by the supervisor, without me asking the operator said that i should go ahead and send in my packages using the AOS cover page and the error for not generating the invoice is there. What do you guys think? Should I call and ask another operator or just take her word for it?? She said once i have the AOS coversheet they will accept both packages.

I'd call up another operator and ask. I'd NEVER take the advice of just ONE operator since they're answers always seem to differ.
