When trying to log in to the payment portal I got the following error:

You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information.

Anyone know what this means? I mean... obviously means I can't pay yet, but I haven't received this error before, I have been receiving the 'Your case in in the process of termination' error.

Yeah it's different from when you did it, but still pretty straight forward. There's no nice gentleman now to guide you along, you just click the tiny "log in" link up top, and then when you put in your passport info, etc you click "create an account" and go from there. Anyway, I'm all signed up. I also have my trip out to Montreal all booked. Going with my mom :) Flying in on the 8th, taking the train back on the 10th. Much shopping and poutine on the to-do list. Merci!

Yeah, I assumed the process would change at one point. Especially since it's been one year. Anyways, don't forget to print the summary out showing the DHL location chosen. You won't be allowed inside the consulate without it.

Enjoy the poutine ;)

Alright NVC, let's wake up and start shoving those IV bills, case completes and interviews out the door!!

Agreed!

Hi,

Our petition has been approved by the USCIS on April 5th. According to the current trends when do you guys think we can expect a case number at the NVC?

And, has anybody around that period received his/her case number yet?

Thanks for any input and have a good day y'all.

It's looking around 3-4 weeks now. Check out the spreadsheet linked in my signature. NVC seems to be working with NOA2 dates around mid to late March.

last tuesday i sent the ds3032(for my son ) to NVCInquiry@state.gov, something like this:

[..]

and yesterday i receive this e-mail from nvc:

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition:

We are unable to process your request as this type of action may only be performed with the authorization of the petitioner/applicant/legal representative. Please have the petitioner/applicant/legal representative contact us directly.

I don`t undestand ,last night i sent another ds3032 signed and dated togueter with the template again ,but i don`t know if that will be fine. :help:

I was going to say it's just that you send the DS-3032 too fast after case number being assigned (sometimes it does get rejected for this), but the email response you received isn't the typical rejection letter. Yours is talking about authorization which leads me to think it's about you doing it for your son. I'd call up NVC and ask about this.

That's a new message laughing.gif I'm guessing it's just another SIF message though. They're probably invoicing you a bill ;)

Just called NVC to inquire about the IV bill. Gene (sooo nice and sweet) told me that she tried to 'put it through' just now but that the system didn't let her, so she said she'd send something to a supervisor to inquire about it. I asked if there was a problem with MY case specifically since others have received bills since the fee change and she said that as far as she can tell there's no problem at all, just that since the fee change, there's been alot of problems with the system. So this was reassuring for me a little. Hopefully I'll get it soon as well as those still waiting...
