Interesting, it seems like NVC may be taking longer to send out cases to the Embassies now too. The Embassy just got my husband's case yesterday then called him and changed his interview date because it fell on a National Holiday :bonk:

Be HYPER about it, be EXCITED. If you do, the date will come quicker!! :Dyes.gif

And I'd frame it ;) I still have the little number stub you get at the interview (got C1, meaning I was first). I'm still considering framing it laughing.gif

LOL..OK I'll bounce off the walls once I ditch this headache! :D :D :D

And we may frame it, if the interview goes well :P you should totally frame that little number!

You could get a small 5x7 frame, and get a nice mat in a craft store or the craft section of Target...it would look really nice!

So how long does it generally take until i would be able to pay my AOS and IV fees? I have a lawyer and i got my case number on 4/12 and i Opted in to EP the same day, i got my Optin approval the same day. I called yesterday and got my IIN so how much longer should it be? My lawyer said 2-3 weeks yet before we will be able to pay it but that again does not sound right by ready peoples timeline.

Thanks for any input.

That sounds nice! If I shop at Target, I'd get a 15% discount ;) I'll shop around this weekend on one of my breaks yes.gif

Generally, it's a few days. But NVC was putting IV invoices on hold due to the fee change on Friday the 13th. You should be getting both bills sometime this week.

Thanks everyone. I called back and the operator gave me the IIN and BIN. Looks like I have to wait till they Generate the AOS Bill. They said to wait 10-15 days to get this. Does it really take that long? Is the AOS Payment Portal and IV Bill Payment portal same?

If DoS operator Chris was a little less macho sounding, I'd hug him! The embassy is processing my case - HOORAY!!! :D He confirmed that Montreal has received it. Guess that's what pending meant this morning... :D

YAY!!!

So the NVC operator just confirmed that my case left for the embassy yesterday!!!!!

Absolutely :D I'll post it here laughing.gif

I'm thinking I also want to put the saying I found here on VJ: "Better to be slightly over-prepared than slightly under-prepared" on it too as that's the significance of the ticket, being prepared and getting there early with all my stuff and getting the famous first ticket of the day.

You can disregard the BIN number. It's only used by those filing online forms. India not being an eligible country for that.

And no, it doesn't really take that long. Typically a few days. I think it's time you review the FAQ I put together on the first post yes.gif

There's only one payment portal, with the AOS and IV bill. Why don't you sign in and take a look for yourself?
