Glad you caught that error!

Well, even though your lawyer did everything, did you still get emails from NVC? You can always go by the date you got that initial information package with the date your case number was assigned. Then, for EP, NVC frequently emails you now when they receive your packages and will review them shortly (not an auto-response, an actual email). Just use those dates for the dates you sent out the packages. You can also try asking your lawyer and see if they kept any kind of documentation for specific dates.

I didnt get any emails from nvc until today. I had to get the case number from her and she filed my document package after I filed the ds-260 thats all i know that she did....i can maybe email her and get the dates if they have them

But what if there is something wrong and then you can't get RFE. You have to wait till after the interview? If I have everything ready, it should be quick right? I am sure getting a quicker interview date would be better but it adds one more thing to worry about at the interview. I am so nervous already.

IF she gets an 'RFE' at the interview, then she will get a 221g slip and she'll have to send whatever they want to Montreal. Then they will issue her visa.

But what if there is something wrong and then you can't get RFE. You have to wait till after the interview? If I have everything ready, it should be quick right? I am sure getting a quicker interview date would be better but it adds one more thing to worry about at the interview. I am so nervous already.

If you did get the expedite approved and had to bring the documents to the interview and there was something missing, then you'd be put into AP where Montreal will hold on to your passport until you send in what's missing. Once they approve it, they'll approve your visa and continue with the processing of attaching the visa and mailing it to the DHL location of choice.

DON'T scare me any more than I already am about this gong show process!!! Lol! I have documents to back up most pieces that I figured I might need - and I may go get two more documents that will be absolutely everything covered (NVC told me I didn't need them, but peace of mind is key). I'm still worried, and still concerned that my file's in the ocean instead of in Montreal. So in truth, there are pros and cons to either side.

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png
06/09/2012 - POE @ YWG (Winnipeg Int'l Airport)

Removal of Conditions submitted March 24, 2014, received March 26, 2014

Well I think she will be placed in AP anyway so I guess it won't be too bad.

Let me wait till tomorrow and see where my case is. I will then contact my congressmaan whom I had already contacted while waiting for NOA2.

I doubt it would be in the ocean, as no transportation route from New Hampshire to Montreal would involve flying over any large body of water. :lol:

wow.. I called DoS and immediately got a visa specialist. She talked so fast I didn't catch her name. No interview scheduled yet,but she was the first one to tell me "You can call back tomorrow"

That's awesome! I had a couple last week encourage me to call often. Then yesterday, Anna decided to get snippy. Sigh. Seems even with DoS, it's the luck of the draw on whether or not you talk to a nice op.

I have to prepare myself for the eventuality of quitting on the spot if my boss plans to not let me take the time off even if it's in month end (I made it clear my medical and interview dates are non-negotiables, but still...) :unsure:

it seems there's always something to worry about with this process. Didn't think about it at all when initial docs were sent off to USCIS but that turned out to be much quicker than expected and then each stage has it own worry and even now I have the visa there is the worry of selling our house. It never ends I tell you.
