Seriously? It's finally up?? Oooooooooh I'm gonna open up IE right now to try!

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO it's working, am paying now! Everyone, check the portal!

Grats to you too!

Well Kerry and Carl has the same NOA2 date as me and had the case arrive at NVC yesterday. Sugarz has NOA2 few days before me and had the case arrive yesterday. so I assume mine should be there by tomorrow or so.

I have everything ready to go so I don't know how much help an expediate is going to be. Does an expediate mean that you don't submit the forms now but later during the interview?

Yes, that's what it means if you send an expedite. If it's approved, they'll close your case and you'd then probably have to bring the documents and pay the fees at the interview.

By all rights, yours should be there. I would hope they'd have record of it by tomorrow, yes. That's the hope anyway...And what I'm learning about the expedite means that apparently all forms either go to the embassy before the interview, or else they'll ask for it at the interview. I was able to submit my DS-260, but on my forms page it says that payment is "not applicable" even though it's clearly unpaid. Once I submitted the DS-260, the status changed to "On File at Post", which tells me that I think everything just goes to Montreal from here on in. Theoretically it's supposed to be faster, but we'll see!

Grats! Just to confirm with the email invoices everyone's getting, it was just $230 you paid?

yes, it was $230

Glad you caught that error!

Well, even though your lawyer did everything, did you still get emails from NVC? You can always go by the date you got that initial information package with the date your case number was assigned. Then, for EP, NVC frequently emails you now when they receive your packages and will review them shortly (not an auto-response, an actual email). Just use those dates for the dates you sent out the packages. You can also try asking your lawyer and see if they kept any kind of documentation for specific dates.

Grats on paying the fee! And yes, those are the next steps. Except, you can print off the bar-coded cover sheet as soon as you pay the bill. You don't have to wait for it to appear as PAID anymore.

And pay stubs are optional, so the amount you send is up to you. If it has year-to-date totals, then one is perfect. I suggest highlighting the year-to-date total as well as the total for that pay stub.

Yes. But it is suggested to not send the packages in until it shows as PAID. In case the fee is rejected for some reason (rarely) then your package might be rejected or lost in the NVC black hole.

Technically, you'd have everything you need. However, I do NOT suggest sending it until the payment clears and shows PAID in the payment portal, in case there is a problem with the payment.

i sent 3 recent pay stubs, plus YTD for both 2011 and 2012, although I don't think that all of that is necessary...

Thanks meno...I think I'll stick with the recent one...

I am sure getting a quicker interview date would be better but it adds one more thing to worry about at the interview. I am so nervous already.
