Just spoke to an operator at the NVC. As I expected no interview date has been assigned on our case yet. However, the operator did say that they have not completed the process of assigning interview dates for May, or at least they have not informed the operators of this. I asked if they normally do get informed and he told me that they do. So there is still hope for those that have recently received case closed who missed the boat for interviews last week.

If I'm not wrong, you'll need to take the interview letter with you for the medicals.

AOS is complete for me now. NVC Operator Rose (really nice, btw) gave me that little bit of information. I asked about IV bill, she confirmed that the new $230 bill should be emailed anytime soon now.

In most places, you need to have the interview letter at the medical. But there are a few places (Philippines, for example) that allow advance medicals with solely the first letter from NVC showing the case number. I'd suggest calling up the panel physician and inquire if you can do an advance one without the interview letter but just a regular letter from NVC with your case number.

God has a greater plan for us, he knows why he let them denied the expedite. my wife is currently on her way home from work, she does not know the news yet as her phone was dead this morning. I will inform her shortly and ask her if she wants to re submit it, if she does we will, if not we won't and will wait for the June interview

Last night I decided to apply for an expedite based on NVC error. I just received a reply from the NVC that the request is under review. Knowing my luck the NVC will assign more interview dates today, but will skip our case because of the expedite request. Then our expedite request will be denied after a week or two and we will be stuck waiting until the second week of May.

I just want to know when the interview date will be so I can make the necessary travel arrangements and request time off from my employer.

06/10/11 - Married

07/28/11 - NOA1 for both

02/21/12 - RFE for both (received hardcopy on 2/25)

Instead of thinking of the worst situation and putting all your effort into that, why not think about a WONDERFUL situation (aka getting your interview date soon, expedite approved) and expect that instead and feel good about it? yes.gif

Yeah, they can't take any information until a case number has been assigned. Which should be soon yes.gif
