the only problem should be the 2 motnhs notice. After the 2 months they would just give me a nice letter which would help for other attempts to get a similar job at any Mobile company in the US.

Maybe someone will realize your situation and help you with a letter anyway...we'll add this to our prayer list for you...

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).

I was thinking about trying this trick but it'll never work for me, cuz I found out that it was my wife who's coming to the states!!

Just got off the phone with Ruby at NVC. No case number yet, but she said our case has arrived and is in the building. Then she told me it will take 20 business days for a case number to be generated.:bonk:I think I'll ignore that and call every day to see if we have our case number yet.

You should be getting your case number soon.

Good morning people, just got off the phone with NVC. They say for Haiti, there is no more date available for May interview, they all have been assigned. However, as my expedite request is under review, they say if the embassy approve it i will have a May one but if not i will have to wait the second week of May to call for a June interview. The final decision is in God's Hand

From a Regulaar operator, and she said when you make an expedite request they just forward your request to the embassy not the whole Casefile. The whole case is forwarded to the embassy only if the expedite is approved

Hey Rujby! You've been on the ball... Happy to see movement in your case.

Who else has case complete with the NVC but does not have an interview date yet?

I know of Rujby, bahialove, sheeshkabelle, and I'm sure there are others.

If the NVC is truly done booking May interviews and you have to wait until next month to find out your interview date are you ok with that? What if there were still May interview slots at your embassy and the NVC still does not book you an interview?

I'm traveling today so I won't be able to call the NVC until later tonight, but I would like to find out if the operators are telling people in our situation that we will have to wait until next month to get an interview date.

So I'm also waiting on an interview date - got my CC last Thursday. I travel for my work, and we're supposed to be travelling soon, so I'd be fairly distressed by a June date. I NEED the miracle of as early a May date as can happen. Praying fervently for that!

A sponsor is only held accountable for the intending immigrant until one of the following happens:

- the immigrant becomes a US citizen

- the immigrant get 40 qualifying quarters of work (roughly 10 years worth)

- the immigrant gets deported/removed from the US or otherwise ceases to be a LPR

- the immigrant dies (or the sponsor)

If the intending immigrant decides to become a US citizen, under the 3 years of being married to the petitioner, then the sponsor will be held accountable for a minimum of 3 years. This is the shortest typical time frame (unless there's a death or deportation which can happen quicker, obviously). On the flip side, if the immigrant decides to not become a US citizen, and doesn't work, the sponsor could be held accountable until death.

MCMLXXXII i also scanned my NOA2 to the nvc email adress and got a response that they are investigating. I called this am and the operator said they didn't have my case yet but when they do they will keep my updated via email. I dont know how true or reliable but i guess we keep calling. If his is in the building ours is porbably just under a pile. Keep the faith.

we've had a death in the family, so the last thing on my fathers mind is taxes. mine are done, but since my mother is my joint sponsor, will sending her W2's and her pay stub be sufficient along with my tax transcript for the interview. i know sometimes they don't even check, but i want to make sure my husband comes prepared, my father is asking for an extension, so i don't know if the 1040 will be ready to go by the 10th of may in time for me to send all the stuff to my husband. can i write a letter for my husband to bring with him and a copy of the obituary? thank you

To add to this:

The sponsor or joint sponsor(s) do not solely contribute to the care and upkeep of the immigrant. They are not legally bound to 'send the immigrant money' to support them.

The sponsor is promising the US government that the immigrant they are sponsoring will not become a public charge. If the immigrant applies for and receives any means tested federal benefits, then the sponsor is legally obligated to pay back that benefit.

First the primary sponsor, in this case, the immigrants spouse, will be taken to court and told to pay the money back. If the primary sponsor does not, then the joint sponsor(s) will then be taken to court. It's like co-signing a loan.

I would like to add, it's been shown by numerous polls and studies, immigrants only make up 12% of recipients of federal means tested benefits. 62% are white, middle class US citizens.
