It's true.. They are raising the cost of non-immigrant visas and lowering the cost of immigrant visas. The change was release last week.

Any link from a government website? Couldn't find any at the USCIS website, under NEWS or the DOS website under VISA NEWS. Only Immigration.com and visajourney.com have "new immigration fees" news. That's why I thought it was an April fools prank.

03/27/12: interview at Paris embassy - APPROVED
04/12/12: POE San Diego

ROC
01/15/14: sent I-751 application

05/14/14: received card production notification by e-mail, approval date 05/13

Naturalization

02/01/24: N-400 submitted online; Biometrics reuse notice received immediately online; "case being actively reviewed" after a couple hours

02/09/24: received NOA1 by mail

02/10/24: received biometrics reuse notice by mail

04/08/24: interview scheduled for 05/14. Received "We have taken an action in your case" email.

05/14/24: approved at interview, same-day oath ceremony in San Francisco 🥳 🇺🇸

 

Passport

06/10/24: application submitted at post office for passport book and card, paid for expedited processing and shipping

06/24/24: received email notification that passport was approved, then shipped with tracking number

09/20/2011- Service Request

09/28/2011- Service Request Reply(extensive background check,allow 6 months...blah-blah..)

10/07/2011- RFE(4 pages)

11/15/2011- RFE reply sent back to USCIS

12/05/2011- reply for RFE showed up in the system (took them 20 days to locate and input in the system...lucky us...)

01/11/2012- NOA2(urrrrraaaaa!!!!)

NVC

01/23/2012-case received(took 12 days...waiting for the case #)

01/27/2012-case # received(but wrong Embassy assigned...has to change)

02/01/2012-invoices are e-mailed to both of us by NVC

02/07/2012-invoices are paid(had to wait due to the wrong assignment of the embassy )

02/14/2012-both packgs are sent in

02/29/2012-checklist for a missing copy of passport(not missing in reality,but either wait 20 days for a review or send it in again,so we sent it in...)

03/09/2012-case complete( could have taken less ,but well..who cares it is complete now!!!)

OK, can someone please explain HOW multi quote works?

Well, you just click the 'Multi Quote' button under which posts you want to reply to. Once you've got them all clicked (they turn a different color), then you click the 'Add Reply' button at the bottom of the page, underneath the last post of that page. It'll then bring you to the editor, as if you hit reply, but it'll have all the quotes.

I assure you, it's edible. I can't exactly have anything fancy here at school, so I just pack little lunches that are easy to put together. Don't worry, not all American food is like this :P

I know it's blasphemy, but it's true! Mine wasn't - she even made a meat thing once that my mom refused to let us touch (she saw what Baba put in it, lol). Mom learned to cook from HER baba, so I learned vicariously from the best - my mom's baba was an AMAZING cook :)

LOL you can have it...but you need to learn the technique from someone who's made them otherwise you make them all wrong (ask my husband LOL :) )

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH you're funny, had the same feeling when I 1st moved from France! got sick when I tried my 1st ever pâtisserie back in Denver...and Wait 'til you get a chance and the true "Yike" McDonalds and the true pizza-US-Version (very greasy). BUT you'll have the best Beef steak, nice wine (Beaujolais ain't great), nice cheese (same quality as France).

LOL, you've got it - as soon as I get home from work tonight I'll pm it to you! Did you want a really yummy oatmeal raisin cookie recipe too? I ADORE cooking and can probably give you a killer recipe for whatever you want :)

So...wonder if this is a good thing...I sent the same DS-3032 letter that sheeshkabelle's husband sent the other day, because they haven't touched my DS-261 or invoiced me because apparently I'm stuck. Well, today I got a notice saying they're reviewing the DS-3032 email...wonder if this means they may FINALLY realize they've got a stuck file on their hands :D

You know thats is one question I have been trying to find the answer to myself. I cant find any members here except K1 visa holders that have left any type of review or time line regarding thier visa journey. Well from the Bahamas that is.
