Thanks everyone! That was SUCH a fantastic call. I just had this... feeling, this URGE to call NVC. OK, I know that's actually quite normal LOL. But anyway, I called and Jim answered. After giving him all the security info, I said: "I'd like to know whether you have received my DS-230 packet."

He said: "We completed your case."

I was struck dumb, so he filled in the silence: "Literally 10 seconds ago, we completed your case!"

Found my voice again. "So you mean the next step is to schedule my interview?"

And he responded that they'll schedule the interview with the embassy in Kingston and email both myself and the Petitioner.

I'm SO, SO, SO, SO thankful to the Lord. Look at my signature: my case was completed on the 1-month anniversary of it being received at NVC.

My husband says: "Hooray for VisaJourney!!!"

....wow...that's amazing...wondering if I should phone again to see if my file left?

Oh ok. The senator s office called my wife and they got our email but they said to my wife they are going to mail a form to her house so that she can sign and authorize them to make the follow up....

Yes, that form is very important. Our congressman had us fill out one too. It's a privacy release form, meaning they can talk to your wife and ask the government things. The faster she gets it in (once she gets it) the better!

I'm not sure on that one, actually. They may be able to help if your request gets rejected. My thought is - you've requested the expedite and it's being reviewed so that's good. Getting the papers to the senator fast, and explaining that the expedite is under review now so you need urgent help would also be a good idea. That would really help!

Hello VJ'ers,

On form I-864EZ Section 19 the place where we enter Federal Income Tax Information. The paragraph written there is little confusing.

Firstly I entered all the latest 3 yrs data in the blanks. But the first paragraph reads:

I have filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years. I have attached the

required photocopy or transcript of my Federal tax return for only the most recent tax year.

(There is a check box before this paragraph starts)

After the data is entered there is a second paragraph which reads:

(Optional) I have attached photocopies or transcripts of my Federal tax returns for my second

and third most recent tax years.

(This one also has a check box before this sentence.)

Out of these 2 boxes which one do I check? I am only including transcripts from most recent tax year and the other 2. I'm not sending actual return as the NVC told me i only have to include one or the other. So when filling I-864EZ which of these two boxes do I check or do I check both boxes?

This just in - apparently when NVC sent my case to Montreal, it opened up my DS-260. montreal wants it so, away it goes! Now...where to send civil docs...lol...

Check off both boxes if you're sending in 3 years. That's exactly what I did

And I'd wait on the IV package. Since it's just certificates and such, they'll probably just ask you to bring it to the interview. That's what you'd have to do if you emailed it anyways. Just remember to bring photocopies of the certificates so they have it for their files.
