I got NVC automated response, when can i expect to hear from Supervisor Sue?

Sue herself won't write you, but you should get a response later today or tomorrow. It'll come to your email. You'll be told that they're reviewing your request. After that, you can call NVC and ask if they have news on your expedite, just like you call about your interview dates. You really need to call every day about this!

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png
06/09/2012 - POE @ YWG (Winnipeg Int'l Airport)

Removal of Conditions submitted March 24, 2014, received March 26, 2014

This may be a really stuipd question but i want to make sure i am doing this right. When i opt in to the EP would I be the petitioner or the applicant. I am a USC and my husband is from Mexico.

The petitioner is the one that petitions for the foreign spouse, so, that'd be you, the USC.

The beneficiary is the foreign spouse, so your husband in Mexico.

If you're not already, I'd suggest following the optin template I have in my wiki, linked in my signature below.

Saylin, I just hope we get an expedite and finish NVC fast. And of course, I still need that case no. before anything else.. anyway thanks a lot! :-)

I'll keep my fingers crossed for a speedy case number and expedite approval!

LOL!!! Lists are amazing. I have a few tacked up on my wall...my plan is to give away what I need to, sell what I can, and take the rest :) Hopefully 2-3 bags - that shouldnt' be lost on a plane! how are your lists coming?

Well the first list when I came home was the little things I need to do before the house goes on the market tomorrow. And then I'll start the lists for moving as I'll have to do some research.

Yep...we figured from the start, we needed to talk every day - and not just meaningless talk. We talk about absolutely everything, non stop...we watch movies and cook together over skype, when we "go out to eat", we order the same thing and eat it in front of skype. It's kind of sad, but technology is FABULOUS! This process would have been a LOT harder without it, for sure.

This sounds like a fun way to stay in touch.

Yeah, there's this website "NaNoWriMo" (National Novel Writing Month) where, since 2003, I've written a novel each November. Although, these last two years, I haven't finished. Just lost motivation/got distracted half way through.

I've heard about this but never "known" a participant.

...I just got the strangest email from the Congressman. Apparently our file's not only going to montreal - the NVC director/deputy is reviewing it at the Congressman's request. I wonder if this is bad or good?... :unsure:

We still haven't received the coveted interview email, so I'll call DoS.

Shell is going to rush past me in posts since it's playoffs and I won't be in front of the computer in the evenings :P

First you will get an autoresponse, then either later today or tomorrow you should get an email saying your opt-in was accepted and they will take electronic documents for your case. :)

I'm getting the feeling that I wouldn't want to be either! Don't imagine it will help the agents that part of my husband's email mentioned that Riley the NVC operator yelled at me and made me cry :)

Thank goodness for Skype. And free long distance to Canada!!

Mr. Sheeshka and I spend our entire evenings and weekends with Skype on. At night we both go to bed and talk on the phone until we fall asleep. With the two hour time difference, he usually listens to me sleep. He has said it's hard for him to fall asleep now with out a phone jammed between his head and the pillow! There's been more than one occasion my alarm goes off at 5:30 and wakes him up at 3:30! :lol:

LOL sometimes Trav's alarm wakes me up through my skype headset!!!! GRRRR!!! I don't wanna be up at 4:30! :P
