Hey guys, just called back NVC now they are seeing the AOS as paid :dance: . Saylin i asked about the new price and Jim said its $230, i asked about the $74 and he said its 230 flat, no additional but we will find out on Friday, but he said invoices wont be released until after Friday. i hope that is not another wait until Monday to pay a bill. 1st time i ever want to pay money so badly....

Fellow IR1/CR1 member from Egypt with NOA2 on 3-5-12, NVC case complete on 4-9-12, got an interview date on May 15... I could get a late May/early June interview... So excited at the possibility!!! Come on Friday!!! I want my IV bill so I could pay u and send in my IV package...

Yay... celebrate every step forward! I'm curious to see what will happen to the $74 fee... from what I've read it's a security fee that's not affected by the reduced fee for the IV application.

Hey people i just call NVC, Franck told me that there is no interview date yet for me but that does not mean there is no more date available. i felt so happy, there is hope, i will continue praying!!!

Remember the calendar - the 2nd week is when things get scheduled.

SO - IMO, it ain't over till Friday at 23:59 EST. A lot can happen between now and then.

......i have some serious vertigo going on here. Just got off the phone with NVC. John informed me...from what it SOUNDED LIKE...that our expedite has been accepted, we're just waiting on montreal to schedule us. WHAT!?!?!??! Is it possible I heard him wrong?!?!?!?!?!

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png

Removal of Conditions submitted March 24, 2014, received March 26, 2014

"RFE" for page 3 of application received, date March 27, 2014. Package re-submitted with all papers re-attached.

My sister forwarded this little tid bit of info for me. Some may find it interesting!

As mandated by the Department of State (DOS) and effective as of August 1, 2003,

Applicants that were born on the "List of 26" countries (a classified list of predominantly Muslim countries, and/or nationals of Cuba, Syria, Sudan, Iran, and North Korea, and applicants who were subject to National Security Entry/Exit Registration (NSEERS), if applying in Canada, they should be prepared to wait while routine security checks are pending. Also, remind these applicants that they

must have complied with special registration and departure registration requirements.

Hey everyone...I had to send the DS-230 again because NVC basically lost it (they tried to give me some ####### about how the form was "expired" at first). The package got there this morning...any thoughts on when we might have a CC?

Got a letter in the mail today summoning me for a jury panel on May 14. "Sorry, moving to Hawaii, no can do, fellas."

I am really tempted to call NVC to see if they received my file yet. Do you think I should? or should I wait till Friday?

It wouldn't hurt, no, but it hasn't even been a week yet. Even when NVC was fast, it still took a minimum of a week.

I was on a jury for a murder trial in 2005. It was no fun. They still haven't found the poor girl's body.

I dunno, I'm having my doubts about it being $230 flat and not including the $75 surcharge. But, like you said, we'll see. I'm hoping I'm actually proved wrong because that would save everyone even more money!

Wow, Egypt has finally sped up again for interview dates!! I remember just recently where it was taking 6 months to find out an interview date since they were closed for awhile because of the riots last year.
