After one week from NOA2, I always suggest calling every single day, even if it seems you won't get a case number for a bit. There are the occasional cases that get numbers assigned with a week. You'll see some of them on the spreadsheet. Always better to be on top of things if this does happen to one of your cases ;)

Also, make sure that NVC "links" up the cases, similar to a parent/child case.

Well, I am not sure what you mean with NVC "links" up the cases? Sorry...would you explain it please?

Well, I am not sure what you mean with NVC "links" up the cases? Sorry...would you explain it please?

Once you have case numbers for both your parents. Ask NVC to link the cases together so you can send in both of their documents together, instead of twice(once for each parent).

That way both of your parents cases will move through at the same time.

Called NVC and got Frankbot.. "your case is in line waiting for an appointment at the consulate general in Montreal, Quebec. When they schedule an interview... blah blah blah"

I was kinda hoping that was gonna be THE call. :( Oh well... I'll call back this evening :thumbs:

NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png

Thank you. So does it mean I would send a separate AOS and DS-230 for each of them but in one package? Does it mean that I could send only one petitioner's original birth certificate and only one petitioner's original marriage certificate (current and previous marriages) and point on the cover sheet that they should be used for both cases?

Actually it was Lisa in DOS that told me about my interview date, so I called NVC and confirmed later. So for sure they have the same level access. However when I called last Friday another lady started to check if the file has been mailed to the embassy or not and she told me I'm not sure why is it taking too long. So yes, they have an extra system or 2 more than NVC.
