h. According to: http://travel.state....l?cid=9216#docs for Indonesia, there are no PCCs. So, in your case, you won't need one. I would suggest writing a paragraph on the cover letter stating so, sourcing their own site. I'd then suggest printing out that page (just the police records part, not the entire thing) and include it in the IV package as proof no PCC is needed.

k. It means a photocopy of the birth certificate and the marriage certificate (and divorce and military, if applicable). Again, the photocopies do not need to be certified or notarized. Just simple photocopies will suffice.

h. What if the NVC makes a check list which requires a PCC?

And according to that website, does "Unavailable for applicants inside and outside Indonesia" mean that it's not required? The word "Unavailable" is confusing me if they are trying to say that it's not required.

And then it says this, "Indonesian police certificates require initial processing at a local or village level..." So are they saying that a PCC is required?

I'm sorry to sound clueless here. I just think that the vocabulary used isn't specific enough.

k. But it already lists the Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate. So am I to submit another set of copies, making that 2 copies total of everything listed?

sorry, think of the civil documents as originals, for now.

in addition, YOU MUST SUPPLY A PHOTOCOPY of the originals, all of the original civil documents.

you are saying '2 copies' when it's really:

1. original or certified copy (certified from the issuing authority) and

2. a photocopy.

Hi there!

I have never posted but I have read all the pages from July until now and it helped a lot, thanks Saylin for all your help.

Well we are July fillers and today finally we got the interview date!!!

May 23th is the day!

Just wanted to share and give some hope to the ones still waiting...long process but worth it...the big prize is coming...our loved ones living with us!

Yayyy!!!

:energy::goofy::dancing::jest:(L):thumbs::dance:

Wow, pretty purple coloring laughing.gif

And grats on the interview date! kicking.gif Glad I was able to help!

h. Unavailable means unavailable. It canNOT be obtained. If you're unsure, talk to others from Indonesia and see what they did and what happened.

k. You have to include one set of all the certificates as either originals or certified copies, and then you include another set of just photocopies. They'll keep the photocopies so they can return the originals/certified copies back to you at the time of the interview.

You're very welcome :) Don't worry about your questions. I'd rather you ask a hundred times so you can understand everything than make an error that could have been avoided yes.gif
