NVC Filers - April 2012

So I just got an email from NVC, responding to my DS-3032 email... but the email said "To continue processing your immigrant visa case, you will need to designate an agent by completing form DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent)..."

Since that was my 2nd DS-3032 email, I was DISTRESSED! I called and Beau the agent responded. Beau told me "Ma'am, I don't know why they sent you that email, because we have your petitioner listed as your agent."

Me: "Really? Are you sure? So you have my petitioner designated as my agent?"

Beau: "Yes ma'am."

Me: "So all I'm waiting on now is for you guys to invoice me for the IV application?"

Beau: "Yes ma'am... you're good!"

Me: "Thank you SO much! 'Cuz you KNOW I'd be emailing this thing a 3rd time, right

Beau: (laughing) "Yes ma'am, but you're good to go."

Yay! Of course, I didn't know what to do first: call hubby, report here on this forum, or update my timeline! After I stopped jumping up and down I called the hubby.

I know it's suggested to send the DS-3032 as soon as a case number is assigned, but I'm seeing that a lot of you had to re-send it later on? Is it still a good idea then to send it right away?

Consider it this way:

1. Send the DS-3032 right away, don't waste any time. There's a chance it could get approved, so no time wasted. There's also a chance it could get rejected, which you just re-send the DS-3032.

or

2. Wait for the email from NVC to come with your case information, thereby saying they're ready for document intake. Send the DS-3032. Wait x amount of days for DS-3032 to be accepted.

Say it takes a week for NVC to approve/reject DS-3032s. And it takes a week to get that email after case number is assigned. In scenario 1, if it's rejected, it'd take a total of 2 weeks (1 week to rejection, then 1 week to approval) to get the DS-3032 approved. In scenario 2, it'd also be 2 weeks. But, with scenario 1, there's a chance it could get accepted within 1 week, thus saving a week.

What do YOU want to do?

Today is the morning of the second and we are already on page 14? Reading all the pages, it seems like watching The View.

I am hoping to find out that the NVC received my case already I don't know when to expect the case number though.

Keep in mind, Ryan created this thread early on the 31st of March. So, this is the third day...

Just something to make you all laugh...

This whole process is getting to be so much that last night I had a dream that we got a checklist from NVC. The checklist was because we didn't include how long my husband's steps are when he walks. NVC wanted his walking stride measured in feet and inches.

I woke up laughing.....

Last time I checked, it was ATTN: Supervisor Sue. Guess she got promoted to Officer.

Yes, they requested an expedite immediately after getting their case number assigned.

yes, Rujby and my husband got a snail mail from NVc on 30 March(Dated 28 March on the letter) that it has been approved but when we call NVC the operatoe said it has been denied on 26th MARCH.Then why we get the approve letter? Thats y we need to talk to a supervisor.

You have to do what they instructed. I never requested an expedite, so I don't know if you mail or email them. Follow their instructions.
