GRATS!!! kicking.gifkicking.gif I knew it made no sense for them to hold AOS bills if they're not being affected by the fee change. Send that AOS again and hopefully they'll accept it this damn time headbonk.gif

Oddly, I got a checklist last Friday saying that our AOS was accepted, they were just waiting for the payment. Yet another reminder that Riley hasn't got a clue what she's talking about! I resent it about a hour ago anyway...if they can't be organized I will delight in throwing as much paper at them as I can. Also rewrote the congressman last night explaining how we're stalled out, and how a supervisor told us our case is progressing exactly as it should... :bonk:

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).

Not really....as long as you verify names and DOBs, you should be fine. just call again and don't mention that you're the either the beneficiary or the petitioner.

I got asked often who I was in relation to the case, and of course, I'd have to reply the beneficiary. But that never stopped them giving me information or vice versa. As long as you're either the petitioner or beneficiary, they should allow you to give information.

Congrats on the twins!!

You are right that a pregnancy is not a valid reason for an expedite, but I did manage to expedite my case on only personal reasons, pregnancy was one of them. I just wrote down from my heart why I think I should be expedited hoping that someone with a heart would read it. And apparently someone did, both at nvc who forwarded the letter and at the embassy cause 2 days after I emaild my request for an expedite I had my interview date. It seems to me that the NVC is not as hard with their expedite as the uscis so it it def worth a try!

Keep in mind you're much much further along in your pregnancy and that's why you were probably approved. If you were just a few weeks along, like they are, I highly doubt it would have gotten approved.

I sure hope so :) Sent a pretty despairing letter to the congressman last night too...I attached our request for expedite (they were copied on the original request but want to refresh their memory). Maybe I'm pushy but oh well! :)

It's definitely okay for you to be pushy at this point!

Shell How are you?i wasnt in this forum since last Friday. My Dad is in ICU.Plz keep my dad in ur prayers.

I was wondering what had happened to you... Stay strong and be positive! Everything will turn out great if you do! Sending my well wishes to your father.

Hi everyone!

Have any of you spoken to Frank when calling the NVC? I swear the guy sounds like he's a computer. I kept thinking I was going to have to "press 1" (or something) to move to the next message. The AVR hasn't been an option since we got our NOA2, but I'm wondering if he's the voice they used for it!

Still no case number so we're back in limbo again, but hopefully it will be assigned soon!

Hope everyone has a really good day.

I'm betting you'll get your case number around the end of this week or early next week yes.gif

:bonk:

I think you're the record holder for the amount of checklists you've gotten headbonk.gif

Hopefully, now that they have payment of the AOS, they'll actually review it, and accept it.

No news on the expedite request yet?

Maybe that congressman can help in some way, as your case is getting ridiculous.

Thanks! I actually sent off our IV packets to my husband this morning so he can ship them off from the US instead of from abroad - might save us a couple of days. (excited much.. lol)

Good thinking good.gif Hopefully you included everything that will be needed!

Oh boy, I sure am going to be pushy :D ...in tough spots, I start ramming facts down people's throats so I hope they like the taste of paper! Maybe I'll update my timeline to reflect the record holder of checklists LOL! No news on the expedite either, they said that Montreal just hasn't got back to them yet and at this point I'm beyond caring anymore. Seriously, if you don't get that expedite approved, and by the end of this week, I'm going to start calling NVC for you headbonk.gif I think in the year and a half that I've been here, your case is the most ridiculous I've seen at NVC. I've seen hiccups, sure, but yours is something else entirely.

Excluding the expedite for a moment, if all goes well (and this might be pushing it with your case mad.gif), they should accept your AOS this week. Then, once they release the IV invoices on Friday, yours should appear as PAID early next week, and if you send in the IV package and complete the DS-260 asap, you should have a CC by the end of next week or early the week after. Then, an interview sometime in late June/early July. Now, if your expedite is approved, expect an interview probably in late May or early June....

Maybe so, but it's still worth a try. My pregnancy was only one of the reasons I gave them, and the reason I even mentioned it was that my midwife told me to stop stressing and that ain't easy dealing with the nvc and what not  Anyways worst case you get a no.

Oh yes, it's always worth a shot at the expedite! But in the OP's situation (new pregnancy and up-coming interview next month), I'm thinking it won't be granted. But hey, there could always be someone at the embassy with a heart and push up the interview by a few weeks!

And yay for buying the tickets! You're almost there!

So tempted to call laughing.gif But I'm thinking impersonating you at NVC might be illegal, and I'd rather not have any troubles with my ROC and citizenship :P

I know you're hurting, but you really have to stay POSITIVE and FEEL GOOD, and good things will come to you. Although your case isn't in a desirable position right now, just remember the other things around you that you are grateful for (Trav, food, bed to sleep in, roof over your head, etc). If you do this, you should be able to laugh at how, in a few years, this current predicament will be nothing but a short paragraph in the book of your lives, that although it might seem ridiculously horrible now, shortly, you won't even remember it and it's not worth stressing over.
