Yep...very drained. my whole face hurts. If I'd known that 18 hours after our last hug we'd both be upset again, Trav wouldn't have left yet... sure could use another hug now :(:unsure:

Oh man, that sounds heartbreaking... i feel for you... hang in there. try hard to focus on something else for a few days... as much as i'd love to see my hubby, i couldn't handle saying goodbye over and over... I left him in Egypt last Sept 9 and it was so hard... i was crying my heart out the whole drive to the airport... i couldnt handle that again thats why i dont plan to go back until he can come here... this process is mentally draining... not to mention the physical drains life/work cause every day

Oh man, that sounds heartbreaking... i feel for you... hang in there. try hard to focus on something else for a few days... as much as i'd love to see my hubby, i couldn't handle saying goodbye over and over... I left him in Egypt last Sept 9 and it was so hard... i was crying my heart out the whole drive to the airport... i couldnt handle that again thats why i dont plan to go back until he can come here... this process is mentally draining... not to mention the physical drains life/work cause every day

Goodbyes are especially hard when you don't know for sure the next time you will see each other. I have been fortunate that I have been able to visit my wife every 4 months or so since we were married, but each time we have to say goodbye it gets harder.

02/21/12 - RFE for both (received hardcopy on 2/25)

03/02/12 - NOA2 for both(received hardcopy on 3/8)

03/12/12 - NVC Received both

03/21/12 - NVC case number and IIN received for both & Emailed Choice of Agent for both

03/23/12 - AOS bill invoiced & paid for both

03/26/12 - AOS bill shows paid & AOS Packets mailed for both

03/27/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for wife (sent another for step-daughter via email and express mail)

03/28/12 - Choice of Agent accepted for step-daughter & IV bill invoiced & paid for wife

03/29/12 - IV bill shows paid for wife & IV bill invoiced & paid for step-daughter

03/30/12 - IV bill shows paid for step-daughter & IV Packets mailed for both

04/04/12 - IV Packets reviewed. Checklist issued for Divorce Decree for my wife. Step-daughter's was accepted and her case closed

04/10/12 - Divorce Decree accepted after supervisor review & wife's case closed

04/16/12 - Expedite requested for both cases due to NVC error

04/18/12 - Expedite request approved for both cases and sent to Santiago Embassy

Embassy: (15 days)

04/24/12 - Embassy received both cases from NVC

04/25/12 - Wife went to Embassy for document review. Interview date assigned for both cases.

04/26/12 - Medical Exam for both. Result - approved.

05/07/12 - Interview date for both. Result - approved!

05/09/12 - Received both Visas

05/16/12 - POE Atlanta

Yea, being a full-time grad student, there aren't too many vacation days... i contemplated going to see him during winter break, but i knew it'd be hard to let go again (more for him since i'm the one that comes and goes) he told me that he felt left behind when i left for school back in September (that broke my heart to say the least just hearing him say those words) :(

The last thing I said to my husband before he went into customs at the airport was, "the next time I see you, I'm moving in." I laughed after and as I walked away. I tried my best not to look back at him, but I had to... just as he looked back at me. Brutal.

Whenever I flew back from seeing him, by the time I was at my gate he'd be texting me from the car saying being alone in it feels weird. And that coming back to an empty home and bed was even worse.

It's heart breaking at the time, but I've found over the years that it's just the recovery period which quickens. I miss him like crazy lately, because everything is so close yet so far :unsure:

OMG!!! about to turn off the computer and thought i'd check the payment portal one last time (cuz i'm just OCD like that :P ) and my AOS appears as PAID!!! FINALLY!!! i hope yours has been updated as well!!! YES!!! i can sleep a little happier :P

All states have their own rules regarding how long you are allowed to drive on your old drivers licence. In AK for example I got 90 days to get my alaskan licence. I suggest google your state.

I read your post and checked mine just now this morning...OURS SHOWS PAID TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Maybe it'll be a good day and maybe I will resend the AOS docs (one of the checklists I got mentioned they were received but I just don't care, they're being so inefficient I will keep ramming docs down their throat :D)
