I mostly based my flawed theory on the fact that nearly every email I received from NVC arrived around that time.

Well, perhaps the email servers send emails at a certain time, but the case would be up to date on the operators' computers.

Probably just a big coincidence though, since I did get my interview letter by email at 6am... on a Saturday blink.gif

I don't even think you need a social security number to get a license. Usually, you just need proof of residence in that state, proof of your identity, and proof of your legal status in the US, which is just your passport with the validated CR-1 visa.

For South Dakota, you need a SSN.

Washington State also requires an SSN when applying for a divers license (or learners permit).

No T-shirts today, I didn't have the energy/willpower to do anything like that...just found out apparently NVC can't even update an AOS invoice payment to "paid" - even if they see that you paid the 88 dollars - because of the IV fee changes. I'm worn out. And apparently my case is going exactly how it should. WHAT?! At least supervisor Jen was nice... :bonk:

Don't worry about the t-shirts. I know exactly how you feel *hugs*

And wow, I can't believe they're holding the AOS invoices... They're not being affected by the fee changes, so they shouldn't be held blink.gif

Ho do you use the "MultiQuote" feature? That is if I want to comment on more than one post at the same time right?

Yeah, 'MultiQuote' is if you want to quote multiple posts at the same time.

To use:

Hit the 'MultiQuote' button for each post you want (up to 8 posts, are it looks wonky after posting your replies). Once you've gotten all the ones you want, hit the 'Add Reply' button at the bottom of the page.

I'm gonna lay off NVC/DOS for a couple of days. Funny, considering I called NVC twice and DOS once today. rofl.gifrofl.gif

That's the best thing one can definitely do once you reach the "waiting for an interview date" stage  ... I joined that club 1 week ago

Once I can finally get this divorce decree issue straightened out and get case closed for my wife I will probably not call NVC again. For me finding out the interview date 12 hours faster by calling instead of just waiting for the email isn't worth it. I'm sick of hearing piglets voice and i'm sick of hearing that my call is important to them.

Couldn't agree with you more ... stressing over finding out the Interview date only causes more frustration and anxiety that anything else

I just spoke to Supervisor Jen at the NVC. She wasn't able to resolve my issue because she doesn't have access to my case. She went on to tell me that it could take up to 20 days to review the document. I told her that was unacceptable because this was their error and we need to get this case closed ASAP so we don't miss out on a May interview. She was very cordial and seemed to understand my frustration. She told me someone would review it within the next day or two.

I asked her if the operators have up to the minute information and she told me that they do, so my earlier theory about calling after 14:30 EDT is completely wrong, but Saylin already shot down that theory :)

With all due respect but I think that there are NO THEORIES whatsoever when dealing with the US Immigration Process as they are all debunked constantly. This thing is like the Story of the Holly Grail ..."When you think you have it figured out, a sudden twist occurs and you gotta start from scratch. Not worth it killing your brain trying to figure it out
