Yes I sent 2009, 10, 11

Dimples,

I sent the transcripts for the same years to the NVC, still I ordered online a set of new transcripts (for the same years) that I will be taking to the interview with me just in case. In theory, it shouldn't be necessary, but as I have seen these docs requested again as part of financial evidence in some interviews, it won't hurt to take them with me again. Maybe I won't even need them, but it doesn't cost me anything to take them (except the space of the paper bulge).

Regards!

I woke up this morning to some good news. I had an email from SantiagoImmigration@state.gov in reply to an email I sent them last week about divorce certificates in Chile. I sent them a scanned copy of the divorce decree I sent to the NVC to confirm that it was the correct document. The NVC rejected the document last week and issued a checklist for the IV packet. Here is what the email said:

Mr. Rogers:

Thank you for your email. You are right. The divorce decree you are sending is ok. This is how divorce decrees looks like in Chile. It is very strange as the NVC is familiar with the certificates.

We will contact the NVC to confirm that the certificate you are sending is correct.

Sincerely,

Immigrant visa unit

These days baby is moving so hard inside, she keep kicking her belly whenever someone put hand or anything on. Only when my wife touch the belly she does not kick her hand otherwise, that person will get some good kicking lol. On her last appointment, while the doctor was making some test ( ultrasound ect...), they put a device on the belly, baby kick it so that it fell on the ground, the doctor was suprised and said that baby is having a party in your belly ...lol, each time the doctor puts the device, she kicks it until it fell and she stopped. he said she is very active

This is very good news! If I were you, I would send a copy of this email to NVC because you don't know exactly 'when' they will contact NVC. But I hope they do so immediately and not at the end of the week or later. It wouldn't hurt...

Divorce was made legal in Chile within the last 10 years or so. So while it is relatively new in Chile I'm sure my wife isn't the first person to have to submit a divorce decree from Chile. The Reciprocity Table for Chile on visa.state.gov doesn't have an example of this document, not sure why because they have examples of all the other required documents like marriage, birth and police certificates. I wouldn't be surprised if the NVC doesn't have an example of it either so instead they just use their best judgement.

Thanks Dimples! Yup, once the corrections are made, I will tell her to send the document via Fedex rather than regular mail this time.

However, I am certain the embassy here can give you an idea as to visa scheduling. It won't hurt to try. Also, don't forget to follow-up on the Affidavit (recording of the same) because I have a feeling you will get an early interview date!
