NVC Filers - April 2012

Hello guys.

I have a few questions on the NVC process (I have read all the guides).

Our petition was approved on april 5th.

1) How many days is it taking lately to be received at the NVC?

2) Are the NVC Case Number and Invoice Identification Number issued at the same time?

3) If the answer is no to question 2) how many days could I expect between both?

4) When is it most recommended to send the DS 3032's email? (After the NVC case number is issued or After the IIN is?)

Thanks for any inputs.

Take care y'all.

Journey? What journey? We're still stalled out. I'm not sure what it is about our file but this is ludicrous. The quality time was needed, but it was way too short. I also hate planes and he's in one now so... Guess I'll just do my job until I hear he's safe on the ground again...you two have an interview date???

I'm sorry to hear that, I feel your stress and I promise everything will be just fine. Have they heard from the embassy yet?

No interview date as of yet. it'll come soon tho.

Its Taking about 20 days to receive the Case number from NVC

Most times it is issued at the same time, sometimes you might get an operator who refuses to give it to you, just call back until you get it.

Once you get your case # you can send the DS3032 email. The IIN number is so you can get into the payment portal.

Ok, don't feel bad think like that happens a lot. Have you sent out the originals to USCIS? they requested copies only with i130, NVC requests originals.

1. You can request that you'll provide the original documents at interview date (not sure how's that will work tho).

2. I would've suggest that you send the missing papers with the bar coded sheet on the top. HOWEVER, these are original doc so I would suggest to wait for a checklist and send the missing documents. You're looking for Wed or Thur to get the checklist.

Yeah I remember when I migrated to the US I showed them the Police clearance etc. at the interview. Everything that I sent to USCIS are the original copy except for the passport but the marriage cert. and birth cert. of my wife I sent them the original.

Im gonna call NVC once the packet is received to find out if I need to provide them more documents. And I will try to request if my wife can bring it during the interview instead of sending it to NVC.

-You really don't care about NVC receiving the case but when they'll assign a case number. and lately it'll take up to 20 days.

-Yes both are issued the same time, you just have to push a little bit when you're requesting the CASE# and IIN#

-I would suggest 24 hours after a NVC# is issued. but you can send it right the way.

But first check if SK embassy require an EP or not.

Picnics are great! It wasn't a "usual" picnic though - just grabbed a pizza and sat in the truck in the middle of nowhere (it was windy and cold, so this worked better). :)

Wow, 38th place? Tiger needs a little more Tiger in his tank! That sounds like a somewhat exciting finish (except for Mr. Woods, lol...)

Okay, so I called up NVC too. The gentleman I spoke with was very nice and told me that they are in the middle of scheduling interviews, so I should be getting a date by next week. I really, really hope that's true.

It is basically the same thing they told us, i think i will wait until monday to give them a call. I do not know how i am gonna be resistant to wait until next week to call

Keep in mind you may also receive the e-mail in the meantime. I had called last Thursday and the interview still wasn't assigned. Then I received the e-mail less than 24 hours later. Don't worry, it'll come soon!
