I agree on the AOS package - and I was quoting what the girl told me. She sent me a link, and it seems the total price is going from 404 to 230 so...who knows? I guess we'll know on or after Friday LOL!

And Saylin - I have the T-shirts in my possession now! Got the white ones for like 7 bucks :) With the price of the t-shirt transfers, they are a grand total of 9 dollars each! :)

Okay, it's not dropping from $404 to $230, it's dropping from $330 to $230. Remember, there's a $74 surcharge ($330 + $74 = $404). The new fee is $230, so $230 + $74 = $304. So, it's only $100 savings.

And wow, nice!!! :D That is an awesome deal for a t-shirt AND transfer! *gets money ready* :D

Mornin all! So excited (in a way) - found out an interesting piece of news last night. If anyone's in my boat waiting for the IV invoice, they aren't releasing those until Friday when the fees drop by almost $200. Spoke to a supervisor last night, who told me that. (on the upside, apparently our AOS package was reviewed and accepted, just waiting on the fee still...weird...)

And now...I am off to get more snuggles :D Talk later, and have a WONDERFUL Saturday! :star:

Thanks for this info! I was wondering why I can't access the IV bill! So, we wait another week, but save money. Good and bad. I miss my hubby!

i hope for answers for my question regarding DS 230, #33. abt Degree or Diploma, what should i write? does it mean i have to choose one of them? i went to University, so i should write "Degree" or "Bachelor"??? and for High school to Elementary, can i write N/A?? please help...thanks :)

You only start listing schools from the secondary standpoint (so high school and above).

So, for high school, put the course of study as 'Academic' and the degree or diploma field as 'Diploma' (if you graduated and got a diploma).

And then for university, put the course of study as the subject you studied. Mine was 'Social Science', so that's what I put. And then I just put 'College Diploma' in the last field. It's technically called a DEC (French for a college degree), but I didn't want to confuse NVC with Quebec terms headbonk.gif. If you earned a Bachelor's, then I'd put that yes.gif

Very quiet weekend on this forum after a crazy week ... I guess the majority of us have gotten to a point where we just want to get our Interview dates done and over with ... let's get ready because the "Second Week of April" starts tomorrow! Yaaay! :dance:

I had two separate messages yesterday from other VJ members who had their Chilean Divorce certificate rejected by USCIS. They both sent the same certificate I sent which is the only one the Civil Registry in Chile will issue. The fact that USCIS accepted mine and now NVC is rejecting it shows that there is definitely some confusion surrounding this document. It doesn't help that the Reciprocity List for Chilean documents on travel.state.gov does not include an example of the divorce certificate while it does show an example for all the other required documents. I'm hoping to get the IV Unit at the Santiago Embassy involved in this so they can settle this issue for good. I've already been told by them that the divorce document is the correct one for Chile. I just want to get this straightened out before they fill up all the interview slots for May.

07/22/11 - Mailed I-130 petitions for wife and step-daughter

07/28/11 - NOA1 for both

02/21/12 - RFE for both (received hardcopy on 2/25)

I just got the approval on Friday and awaiting for the case to be received by the NVC..

Anyone has any clue how long it is taking currently to receive a case #?
