Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the medical exam. Since we have the case number, can we schedule an appointment for the medical exam now? or do we have to wait until instructed? Thanks :)

In some countries, you can do an advance medical as soon as you have your case number, compared to waiting for an interview date letter. Such places: London, the Philippines. You'd have to contact the panel physician in Ukraine to see if you can schedule it now or have to wait for an interview date to be scheduled first.

Hi Saylin (waves)

The operator said that Part 1 and 10 on the AOS needs to be completed. Does the petitioner need to prepare a new form and submit the supporting documents again or can she just correct the 1st page? When can she expect the Checklist via email? Will NVC send a copy of the email to the beneficiary as well because she's having internet issues? Thanks :D

Part 1 wasn't filled out at all? blink.gif And there is no part 10 on the AOS...

For this checklist, you'd just need to submit a new form with corrections, no need to include supporting documents again as NVC has then.

I think it's currently taking just a few days to receive the checklist by email. And I don't know if they send it to both the petitioner and beneficiary; I never received a checklist :P

okay but for your question, you would just call the doctors office they provide and ask if you can make the appointment or if you need the letter, they will tell if you can schedule or if you have to wait

And yes, very soon, you'll receive an interview letter package from NVC which states which documents are needed to bring to the interview.

For the medical, NVC doesn't send you any instructions. Your husband will have to schedule it himself through a panel physician in Spain.

i actually think this is the interview letter, cuz it has all this stuff listed, and talks about what to bring (it's five pages and titled p4 for neopost ds1200. there is a huge list of stuff, but it has F,O and Y and $ listed next to all of them, which as explained by the guide, means that everything we sent has been accepted and all fees paid. so do we still bring stuff to the interview of the entire list?? here is the list they gave us:

Please note that even though the applicant may have provided

the NVC with a copy of a document, the applicant is still required to bring the

original document to the visa interview.

Document Name Document Status

CORRESPONDENCE INSTRUCTIONS C

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1 Y

1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 2 Y

2 - PASSPORT Y

3 - BIRTH CERTIFICATE O

4 - ADOPTION F

5 - MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE O

6 - MARRIAGE TERMINATION F

7 - COURT RECORDS F

F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE Y

9 - MILITARY RECORDS F

10 - SPAIN POLICE CERTIFICATE O

FEE PAYMENT $

PHOTOGRAPH Y

F - PETITIONER MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE F

F - PETITIONER BIRTH CERTIFICATE F

Key:

F = This form is not necessary for this application.

O = The original document has been received and accepted as meeting post

requirements.

C = Direct inquiries to your consulate / embassy

Y = The required document has been received.

$ = Payment received.

for example F means it is not required...so that means we don't bring it right? cuz it would take me a while to get my birth certificate since it's in russian...also for financial evidence is says F and Y which means that they received it and its no longer necessary, but i was going to send him my 2011 returns...any thoughts

Packet 3 refers to K-1 visa applications. It's similar to a combined AOS and IV package, and gets sent directly to their consulate/embassy, not NVC. On our timelines, this will (or should be) left blank.

The packet 4 though refers to the interview letter package, so this line should get filled out after receiving the email from NVC.

Thanks Saylin!

Oh, didn't know you got the interview letter already! That's definitely it yes.gif

Yes, you don't need to bring any of that stuff. In your case, all you'd bring to the interview is the following:

-passport

-interview letter (first page that states the beneficiary's name, place of interview, date of interview)

-medical results (if not sent directly by panel physician)

-2 passport photos (used for the green card)

-2011 tax information as it'll be after the April 17th tax deadline

Proof of relationship is optional, but highly recommended. Don't know how hard Spain is.
