Can We Call USCIS on EAD/AP update?

Hello,

Just wondering if we can call USCIS for follow up the status on my EAD/AP. Advice please....blush.gif

[u]AOS TIMELINE:[/u]

01-30-2012: Submitted AOS application thru USPS (Chicago Lockbox)
02-06-2012: Received Text/Email, application received by USCIS
02-10-2012: Received mail/hard copy of I-131 (NOA)
02-15-2012: Received mails/hard copies of I-765 & I-485 (NOAs) / Mail for Biometrics Appt.
03-06-2012: Biometrics Appointment done
03-14-2012: Received mail for Interview Appt on 16th April 2012.
04-04-2012: EAD/AP approved
04-12-2012: EAD/AP card received ;-)
04-16-2012: Interview day - Approved! (waiting for GC)
04-23-2012: Welcome Letter touched
05-03-2012: GC on hand!

EAD/AP can take longer than 2 months to receive. Some people get the green card first or never get the EAD/AP because once you get the green card, EAD/AP are null and void.

You already have an interview for April 16th, so says your signature, so what would you need to call about? The green is all you will need to work and travel.

Thanks for reply. I may be bored already and looking for job takes time ;-) I supposedly got one but due to no EAD yet, I can't. Hopefully very soon!

Don't sweat it. Your EAD will probably mean nothing after the interview. It's just 18 days away and there is no guarantee that you'll be employed before the interview, because you are allowed to work. Relax and take the time to prepare if you haven't yet done so. All the best.
